As i have said before, there are very few depictions of a sword user attacking someone from behind. Though if have some of those depiction i welcome them, of particular interest would be samurai attacking people from behind.
Then explain why Monk's whole shtick is attacking from every direction (but the front) when typically, iconically, traditionally, even in the 4.0 trailer, they face off in one on one duels from the front. If this is the dev's logic, it's flawed in my opinion.
