The reason you can miss a tick is that all dot ticks are on a server-side timer, and this tick occurs every 3 seconds whether you have any dots up or not. (I.e. The first dot tick of demo can be anywhere in the first 3 seconds of you applying the dot, depending on where the server tick is when you apply it.)

Really? So you're saying my first dot tick can happen anywhere from 21-18sec? As in the tick can happen as soon as it goes up or right before the next tick is going to happen? And also the last tick can happen at 3 sec or it could possibly be at 0 sec? If that's the case then it would make sense that you're more likely to miss the last tick if it's refreshed right at 3. But that's pretty unavoidable in our openers
