The responses here baffle me, people rather not have someone join the game than allowing them to tl;dr the main story.

Do you realize that someone else skipping the story doesn't affect you in any way?

That's not true, you always get the people who were interested in the story, but were too lazy to do it, so they ask everyone around them for a TL;DR. It happens to me in wow all too often. Here it would be worse since spoilers are a much more touchy subject.
