If I'm not getting healed after unavoidable damage then that is not my burden and the healer needs to pick up their game, have had many a time where I've been marked and not been healed for a good 10 seconds before dying to an unavoidable AoE.

Again it's very situational anyway and the other option is 100% useful 100% of the time.
You may have, you may not have. However, that's also not the point of my post, which is that everyone should help everyone, not that the dps should be carried by the tanks and healers because they can't meet checks.
