I was thinking, given the "artistic" line... What if we're simply absorbed by Titan, and rather than fighting him in the same way as the Trials (just solo), we're instead having some metaphysical battle with him? One that can explore his history and relationship with the Kobolds and Limsa... That would be very "artistic"... Meanwhile, on the outside, he is rampaging as we fight our way out...

So I guess... A fight with Titan Prime? Same thing we did with Bahamut, just with a more interesting arena... Something like Turn 9, where we got a little arena that kinda tells the story of Dalamud falling... Something like that for Titan would be really interesting... Game needs more arenas like that, only way to really make a circle/square arena very interesting (outside the music, at least), although I've still no idea why SE keeps limiting us to these static battlefields... Can make much more interesting and descriptive fights with a greater map...

Hey, you're absolutely right! I must've read it, absorbed it and forgotten
In the shadow of the First Mountain, the ritual [to summon Garuda] nears completion, as a brave hero once more races against time to deliver the realm from destruction.
I have a bad habit of that.

Eh...i don't see titan as one who would do something like that; Garuda and Leviathan for sure, and Bismarck (though, only because he seems to be a personification of hunger), maybe Ifrit. And unless we sacrifice ourselves (a terrible idea, can't think of any reason this would be preferable to conventional weapons), we're too powerful for any to absorb us at this point (yes, the WoD could potentially weaken us to that point...but then how would we find the power to escape?)

Hmm... I was thinking more along the lines of Derplander being involved... Doesn't seem too unlikely that he could temporarily weaken us, the Echo pretty much took us out of the fight with him when we first met and that didn't take long to recover from...

Now that I think about it... Are the Scions joining us for these? Alphinaud appeared to be around where I assume Derplander just took on Ifrit... Then again, plenty of people joined us to see Leviathan being summoned and the fact that tempering is a thing didn't really matter...

To be fair, I don't think we were expecting him to be summoned there (really need to start a new character and go through the msq again, forgetting things ) especially after the Sahagan was shot...

Don't see Derplander purposefully getting a primal to devour us; yeah, he's strong, but if a Primal had our power to command...unless he has some sort of trump card that requires us to be within a Primal to work...

(Thancred is also fighting the PLD in the trailer, and I think Y'shtola is there as well.)

I see it more as a diversion... Obviously we can defeat Titan, given we have... Three times now? So rather than having us fight Titan in a regular battle, he has us fight him in a different manner... That way Derplander can leave us to that fight while he moves onto his next Primal...

IDK, there are probably other ways to make the fight "artistic" that I'm just not thinking of... Turn 9 is the best I can think of this late... Not sure how something like that would translate against a Primal without something similar to what we saw with Bahamut Prime...

It presumably has to be a solo fight though, right? They can have NPCs kicking around during cutscenes, but this whole notion of tempering being a problem is going to go right out the window if Y'shtola and Thancred are helping us take down Titan... Perhaps it'll just be "artistic" in that we'll have Kobold allies, if Titan truly is rampaging against them now... Although if he is rampaging... Tempering has gone anyway... He'd be killing Kobold that are presumably tempered already...

what if a - the crystals of light/darkness and their affinity can allow one to manipulate the primal corrosponding with it, or like shiva/thordan a wod has transformed to titan and is tossing rocks at the kobolds? Either or perhaps has sealed the primal within the crystal of dark/light and released it. To me it looks like they kill a primal and steal its essence with the crystals outstretched. The big speech "you know our motives, were not gonna stop, you know what the stakes are, looks like they cleared ifrit too..

I don't think Titan tempers his children.

Assuming I'm remembering the quest line correctly, there really wasn't anything about Titan in the Kobold quests, and none act tempered either (at the very least, the Orders we aid are definitely not tempered). Unless there's some 1.x info I don't have...

I think the only Primals we know who temper their followers are Garuda, Ifrit, Thordan (I'm assuming the Heavensward are tempered when we fight him. And if not, we know he is more than willing to temper all of Ishgard) and Ramuh (and he only did because they demanded it); the rest we don't have information on or know they do not (Leviathan is the big one here, Novv tells us early in their questline he only tempers the landwalkers).

I need to start a new character badly lol. Not enough hours in a day, sadly

I think intentional or not, those who summon a primal are instantly tempered. At least that's what Ramuh said.

levi has drowned adds, which i thought meant tempered by his will, titan im not sure. ramuh has tempered sylphs but they stay away from others and in their own domain, im pretty sure titans tempered keep to themselves like ramuh's, and shiva? well not so sure there. seems like the heretics went against ysayles will so i doubt they were tempered
