That interviewer actually goes on to speculate that we may be playing AS Titan rather than against him. Yoshi's use of the word 'artistic' there definitely suggests it won't be an ordinary fight.
Whoa whoa whoa... Slow down a second... If you say things like that you'll have me shouting about Free Company Primal Summoning again, and I'm sure we've all had enough of that by now...

Going a bit far there. We all know that will never happen after how many years now lol
Well, after the first time we fought Titan all hell broke loose. I wonder if that pattern will continue?

Considering Primals are anathema to Hydaelyn... as in both the Goddess and the World... I have a hard time seeing how they'd manage to justify or excuse Free Company Primal Summoning... and there's not really anything worth using those on anyway... you couldn't bring them into instanced fights and no overworld content is difficult enough to really need them... what the devil is worth doing that, risking that, except roasting marshmallows on Ifrit's back...?
But we've been over this time and again...

Is Hydaelyn the world, though? Or is she just the personification of the world?
We have been over this a lot. Is it Tuesday yet?

Regardless of what we know now, if Titan in the trailer is actually *us*...the WoL isn't going to become or control a primal for no reason. Maybe what we know isn't the whole truth, or we have to use the primals to counter whatever the WoD does to us...

I was thinking, given the "artistic" line... What if we're simply absorbed by Titan, and rather than fighting him in the same way as the Trials (just solo), we're instead having some metaphysical battle with him? One that can explore his history and relationship with the Kobolds and Limsa... That would be very "artistic"... Meanwhile, on the outside, he is rampaging as we fight our way out...
So I guess... A fight with Titan Prime? Same thing we did with Bahamut, just with a more interesting arena... Something like Turn 9, where we got a little arena that kinda tells the story of Dalamud falling... Something like that for Titan would be really interesting... Game needs more arenas like that, only way to really make a circle/square arena very interesting (outside the music, at least), although I've still no idea why SE keeps limiting us to these static battlefields... Can make much more interesting and descriptive fights with a greater map...

Eh...i don't see titan as one who would do something like that; Garuda and Leviathan for sure, and Bismarck (though, only because he seems to be a personification of hunger), maybe Ifrit. And unless we sacrifice ourselves (a terrible idea, can't think of any reason this would be preferable to conventional weapons), we're too powerful for any to absorb us at this point (yes, the WoD could potentially weaken us to that point...but then how would we find the power to escape?)
