    Healers

SE please adjust the value of healers in the feast, the job is way too important and affects a team's performance too severely. Either nerf the healing power by a certain percent in the feast or come up with something else. The role is way too important regarding a team's performance.

I think this is an issue, and it can be solved. Things need to be balanced.

Edit: If you support nerfing the healer role, please post or like this, we can affect things.

In Primal, I'd say people lose more games having a useless melee dps than a useless healer... It really isn't a healing problem, as much as it is a matchmaking problem. Once CCs are nerfed, healing will be easier at a high level too.

Edit: By matchmaking problem, I mean if matchmaking worked subpar healers would be matched with subpar dps. It's kind of like saying midlane is too important in a MOBA when high MMR get matched with low MMR, but most MOBAs have good MM so you don't see junk like that.

I'm going to have to agree with this. Time after time I see culling time show up, three, four, even five stacks of it, simply because the healers are doing fine but the DPS on both sides are not. This isn't because healers are overpowered and need nerfs, no, these are examples of extremely poor DPS and coordination. If you're a DPS and you see Culling Time show up for more than a stack, you should be aware you're doing something wrong.

Those are extreme cases of course, usually the issue is poor DPS on a single side not the other, and that's an easy win for the average healer if the opposing team can't get kills.

Tiramisu and Canadane have the right of it. Under-preforming dps is definitely a bigger problem then the potency of healing, and that couldn't be clearer. You can always tell when dps are not using their maximum burst or when they aren't working together to kill targets. If I stun a healer for 7 full seconds, then something better die in that time. If nothing dies when the healer is suppressed, then the problem isn't the healer being overpowered. It that the dps are being crap at their jobs and not working together to burn stuff.

Besides, under-preforming healers is already a more than strong enough compensation. It's a rare thing to get a good healer in Feast. I often have to cover for them with clemency because they can't keep up. Why in the world anyone would want to make that situation worse by nerfing them is beyond me.

Probably at least part of that is how few people participate. For an MM system to work well, it needs a wide pool of players to pull from. When you see the same people over and over, and these are people with a very wide rank/skill gap... well, there's probably no MM in existence that can help.

I have to disagree, on chaos the thing is, if you get a new healer you are dead. its a cetain lose. Proper DPS makes up for it but the outcome seems to be inevitable. And judging from the top ranking players they mostly play healer. Healer is the class you can carry with, atleast on chaos. This is my perception only though. Just pointing out what seems certain to me from my personal experience.
Edit: Its possible the problem only shows itself in very small 4v4 queues (midnight chaos queue). But perhaps this is the problem also in general. Only steps out during low player queues.

The problem especially on Chaos is, that there are no healers left. That means that even experienced DPS and Tanks will get new healers, because no one want to play as a healer.

Being a (new) healer in Feast means to be an easy target for any other players (WAR can one shot you, if you re not looking) and you get blamed for anything, even when your DPS made mistakes (like running away from your healing range).

Please correct me, but there are 2 types of healers right now: Gold healers and new healers. The team with the gold healer wins : /

The biggest issue is, that there are NO alternatives to Feast.

    Que Frontlines: over 30 minutes
Que Feast 8v8 (even as healer): over 30 minutes
Que Feast 4v4 unranked: over 30 minutes (I didnt believed it, but its true)
Que Feast Solo 4v4 ranked: instant

Solo-Feast is the ONLY way to get into PvP on Chaos. And that is pretty sad. I mean, I want to learn and earn some experience but instead, I m going to risk the ranks of my other (random) teammembers, which isnt fair.

Having some kind of practise mode would be nice. On Shiva, there is NO PvP-Mentor and NO PvP-Linkshell. So, you have to learn it the hard way T_T

Not true on Primal, we have 0 Plat healers right now... And I'd be Plat if I won every game on the account of being a Gold healer. We get 50k melee dps and 40k ranged dps on our team (8 minute match ofc), even new healers can heal that. It's just easier to cry about new healers because you lose almost instantly. As a gold healer, I know I am going to lose a match right when I see my team sometimes, I just have to wait 8 minutes to actually see the ending screen.

New healers who are that terrible usually give up after a few games, you see terrible melee for months because they have no idea how bad they actually are.

If that were true then we'd see a more disproportionate amount of healers on the top 100.

I think its more to do with the amount of skill needed to perform adequately as a healer being fairly high in pvp (in sharp contrast to pve). Passing as a healer depends not only on understanding your own abilities but knowing what every other job is capable of and maintaining a strong awareness of everything thats happening throughout the match. Shouldn't DPS and Tanks also? Of course, and "Good" dps/tanks will. But if you take a group of mediocre players, its going to be the healers fault for a loss every time.

On top of that, like I said, healing is commonly viewed as the "easy" job in pve. So what ends up happening is you get all these healers in the process of finding out that being able to "heal pretty good in ex roulette" doesnt make you ready for ranked pvp

Lastnight after midnight Shatter had almost if not insta ques and all matches were 72mans, tho it seemed it was mostly premade vs premade vs premade and it lasted approx 3 hours untill it went back to 24man and 20min+ ques and this is where i stopped and went to bed so not sure if it kept going after that. And i must admit it was pretty fun for 72man as most matches were pretty even and player quality was better than usually.
