About Tank Design Winner

One does not need to be able to create something to criticize it. Can you create gear and compare it to the gear that you both like and dislike? Can you cook better food than you've had at restaurants? Can you fabricate better clothing than what you see when you shop? Can you build a better car than cars you dislike? Chances are you can't, yet you still have opinions about things every day that you can't do better. So there is no sense in telling someone they aren't entitled to an opinion because they can't do better, because everybody does it every day.

It is not nearly impossible to create a completely "new" Tank Gear...

While this is a simplistic design with what seems to be rustic materials, the coat and marge mesh extremely well, and it looks very cool. We’d like to see a leatherworker and weaver create the materials, and then have an armorer put it all together!

Then you just have a bias opinion and it is unfair to say they have a lack of creativity. So where is your design?

I could give you multiple examples with that frame of mind.

I do not want to talk bad about all the Designs, because many Designs looks really good!!

While I found the Allagan Luminous Surcoat a great and aesthetically pleasing design, I thought it was visually too similar to designs already implemented in the game. It is certainly not the worst in my opinion but I felt like if I wanted to pick a design to see in the game, I wanted to choose one that wasn't already similar to the sets in game.

For that reason I also hoped these others would have been chosen from the runner ups:

While aesthetically very nice, I thought this http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/GearD...h9ot1p/026.jpg was more of caster set than a tank set.

I'm not the only one getting sick of coat armours am I? I generally find most endgame Armour to be over designed to the point I don't find any of them interesting enough to keep wearing them once new sets come out.

You are aware players are allowed to use templates for gear? If anything she could've plucked this from Google and happen to use the same template model for her entry. Also I still don't see a resemblance in the uniform. :/
