    P.S.:

A quick and simple 3-step question:

Wasn't EXP originally designed as an abstract measure of the experience your adventuring character had accumulated during his career? So what are powerleveled characters awarded "experience" points for? Because they get more proficient at auto-following?

THIS. The whole nature of this argument should almost be invalidated just by the name of what you're earning. EXPERIENCE points, not Higher Level Player Observer Points.

You can be as facetious and pedantic about the word as you want, but the matter still stands that those who can, will, and those who cry, will.

While I was living in Indiana for a year, my stepmother would use the word "facetious" a hell of a lot. And usually, she would excuse herself as, "not being facetious or anything, but," before saying what she will next. I think she used it as a genuine attempt to let you know that what she was about to say wasn't intended to insult you or make light of you at your expense.

Now, in what Travesty has said, I don't think he was trying to be facetious. Nor do I think he was at all.

    Facetious
    1
: joking or jesting often inappropriately : waggish <just being facetious>
    2
: meant to be humorous or funny : not serious <a facetious remark>
The ONLY reason I'm bringing up the word is because you seem to like to use it. Also, I'm defending Travesty to an end.

I don't know what you actually meant by this, but what I pictured was a baby furiously sucking their thumb after a long drawn out temper tantrum.
