The Flames on Primal are pretty proactive on vote kicks (eg, start insulting someone or the group repeatedly? Kick. Prolonged afk in the middle of the match without warning? Kick. Dying repeatedly intentionally - this actually happens we have a troll that literally does nothing but run into the middle of the area repeatedly and lets other groups kill him - Kick. And obvious prolonged DCs).

Despite it being used somewhat frequently, I have never once seen Vote Kick being abused by our GC in Frontlines. People in Frontlines seem to be less kick happy than those in, say, a 4 man dungeon run or 24 man raids.

I really doubt you were kicked randomly. I agree with Zay in that there probably was some point to it. Maybe you weren't being spatially aware or something.

I've seen some FL kicks. Most of them are failed healers.

I've seen a vote kick initiated for players who:
1.) Were AFK or barely moving from the same spot for a long time.
2.) Players who run off in the wrong direction by themselves, instead of moving with the group, and continually get killed. When the group says "Everyone move this way" and one player continues to not do that, they are sometimes removed.

I have initiated a vote kick a couple of times in Frontlines in these situations.
1.) A player was cursing a lot at the entire team. Sorry, but in our data center people just don't that kind of thing. We are pretty calm in PvP and even if we lose, no one blames each other. But there have been a couple people who begin to completely lose it when someone dies.
Needless to say, these vote kicks have never failed.

2.) A player who spams sound macros.
    "East <se.3>"
    "East <se.3>"
    "East <se.3>"
    "East <se.3>"

    Like this.

Once isn't enough, even Four times isn't enough. Need a way to cover someone's screen (not really) with where the f*** they need to go.

Yeah usually initiated by amateur dps who don't know how to provide assistance when their own healer is under coordinated attacks from the enemy, this is nevertheless a dumb reason

I made my first foray into PVP the other day as a SCH, via Shatter. Dropped heals/shields and DoTs as needed, PVP res'd + lustrated the other healers when they went down. Then someone complained about PVE revives(which I hadn't used) and blamed me, and then the healer I'd revived/healed up TWICE asked if I was even healing. Think it was a smaller premade group of friends. About a minute later: You have been dismissed from both the party and the duty.

Haven't queued up for PVP since then, and I don't think I will if that's how it is. Should I macro five lines of USED {DIVINE BREATH} ON DEAD PERSON so they know I'm not PVE reviving?

Ultimately, though, you gotta be kind of thick skinned with pvp. Shrug it off, take a break if it really gets to you, and keep going. Remember that the ones who talk the most *&$t are generally garbage anyways.

Always report if you feel you've been kicked for no reason. I had some "followers" who were always trying to kick me from duties (yes, there's people like that) and I reported them. They never tried it again, guess they got a warning from a GM.

If you're lucky enough, reporting them will make them getting banned for 3 days, but if you don't report they'll keep doing it to you/other people.

If the match was going south they might have been looking for someone to blame. People are idiots. Some times the dps is just better then what you can heal this isn't 2.0 where healers could laugh in the face of dps. Everyone has burst rotations and most decent players get a little bit of luck can burst you down.

The dot's might have been what caused the confusion about heals though. If the other healer was being so focused they might have saw casts but no heals and thought you had been casting a PvE raise. If the other healer is being focused it is best to ignore the rest of the team and try to bounce the dps between you and the other healer.

Also sometimes I never raise anyone. No one even mentions it except the people who complain the most and they get no raises anyway. YOLOs can eat the penalty.
