FFXIV 2nd expansion: Viera-like race still a possibility?

Viera will never be what you want it to be and would look nothing like the concept art they showed. There is a problem with the legs and how they fit into armours, the devs don't want to spend time making them all fit to a race specifically.

You would get a Miqo'te with bunny ears instead but taller and that will be all.... Hell you'd probably get pretty close playing an Elezen wearing bunny ears. Congrats you've got a new race that adds zero to the game! I'd love to see you all whining about how they arn't what you hoped for if they are released.

So the Viera would basically be a Elezen with a Miqo'te face with bunny ears stuck to them, woo sounds great *slowly dies inside*

When your trying to retain subscriptions, cranking out content, races, and gear is what keeps people subbed, and to keep subscription numbers from slowly scaling off, you gotta throw minorities a bone. if they want Viera, let them have it even if its not truly viera.

That's like the most honest thing to what a person who actually hates viera's in this game. Let players keep hoping for it to happen so they'd play more. I don't even.

Once again, we tell the devs not to do that. You show us concept art, things liable to change, but DON'T cut corners with character traits. let them be kept within the character model. Because they cut corners on Au Ra but they are still extremely popular is exactly why they would do it again.

You will be dissapointed because Viera have no special features we don't have already other than bunny ears, I'm stating exactly what your would get -

Tall and slender = Elezen,
Loves trees = Elezen
Buttonesque face = Miqo'te....
That's pretty much it apart from the ears.

Lorewise we already have "tree talkers" pretty much anyway, they are called Padjal.

I feel kind of bad, it's my fault Viera got brought back up again after mentioning it on a dwarf post, lol; being a new player I didn't know so many peope were butt-hurt over for/against them, lmao. I should have just spammed the section with furry art so the hate goes to a good cause, lmao.

Anyway, someone mentioned Satyr (I think, all these posts look the same) and I'd much rather get Faun, deer girls are cute. :P The Sue name wouldn't be "------ Uchiha" after that, lol...

I like it That is original for a new race but a race come only when one of characters from the story have a different race we never seen. ( actually 0 new race in the story)

Doing the HW arc, after doing party after party, with the Au'ra made meeting that Au'ra girl kind of silly; I'm not sure why my character was surprised...

It would be fun for this rce to try hide their identity though with long animal legs. xD
