Oh i know it is harder to solo. Thats why i solo.Yes, but how many have you completed with only one character in your party?
If a quest is too hard for you do do by yourself, don't be afraid to ask others for help.
Sure you can. Just don't expect it to be as easy on convenient as playing with a group in a game specifically designed around group play.
:-)
Party is a lil too easy to do all the day.
I play in parties too sometimes to help others and so.
I agree with you OP but the problem is too many people of this community are stuck in 2003 old XI mindset where if its not slow 3-5k exp/hr party grinds then its too fast thus horrible and Easy mode.
It really makes you wonder how this game can ever turn around when you have people who are so stuck on the FFXI ways of old that will end up holding back the game because the dev's are trying to please everyone.
No, because people actually like playing in groups -- The only people with problems are those who want to solo an entire MMO and SE isn't allowing that.
Also, adding in XI was unnecessary, pretty much every MMO has group content and group grinding, it's only recent MMOs that pushes "Hey you don't need to play with other people to play our MMO!"
Having to group to progress through content that starts after one reaches the level cap = OK, not well, you better party otherwise its going to be so slow you'll want to stab your eyes out = fail and reeks of 2003 mentality. No, because people actually like playing in groups -- The only people with problems are those who want to solo an entire MMO and SE isn't allowing that.

Only the FF community continues to make such a big deal about the pace of leveling where other successful MMO's that have made a ton of money start at the level cap and offer fast paced content. I guess you FFXI purists want to prance around in town and say "LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME, I'M LEVEL 50!!!!!!!" give me a break, stop the special snowflake crap already.
I find it so funny that people sit there and complain about how fast people level up in this game since it released where as in other games the pace of leveling is such a non-issue because the challenge begins in gearing up by fighting some tough content.
But lo' and behold, you FFXI purists sit there and think the only way people should level is by grouping up which can take hours to find a group of your leveling range then riding out to the said camp hoping its not flooded with other parties.
People should be able to level at a decent pace solo, sure it might not be those 100k+/hr parties but atleast people should feel like they're accomplishing something.

LOL how is SE not alowing it? Im on lvl 45.. Soloed all the way so ???No, because people actually like playing in groups -- The only people with problems are those who want to solo an entire MMO and SE isn't allowing that.

Go solo both Ifrit fights as well as Darkhold. Make sure to post the video. The argument is people want to be able to solo all the content or do it in a group, aka having options. SE clearly wants people to play together.
You can still solo level, but people are generally arguing for solo content which SE is actually moving away from because people also wanted challenging content which sorry to say, but you can't create content that's challenging for solo and groups and expect the balance to be perfect.
There we go. End of story.Having to group to progress through content that starts after one reaches the level cap = OK, not well, you better party otherwise its going to be so slow you'll want to stab your eyes out = fail and reeks of 2003 mentality.

This thread was never aboput party's..
We all know partying is easy and is for people that like to lvl fast.
i rather take more time and enjoy my game longer.
And when i reach lvl 50 i can say i did this on my own and not i did this with the help of 50 others that had a few lvls more then me and killed everything for me.
You all like to party good i don't care, I like to solo. Get over it already.
Been saying that for 6 replies now.
Everyone plays a game the way they want thats why games are there to have your own free time and choice.
Are you slow ?Go solo both Ifrit fights as well as Darkhold. Make sure to post the video. The argument is people want to be able to solo all the content or do it in a group, aka having options. SE clearly wants people to play together.

That is party content.
Are we talking about soloing party based content? nope don't think so.
I did ifrit in party but guess what.. You don't get exp for it ;-)
Funny, people who like to solo are telling people who like to party that it's an outdated playstyle, so I think it's not the people who like group content that needs to "get over something".
