Pls dun lazy kthx

As some others have mentioned in this topic, they can't simply put the instance into DF because of the way it works: you have to go in using a specific class, party/solo or progression slot. DF can't just shove you into the queue without letting you choose those unless the devs find a way (which likely will take time)
It's fine how it is. It doesn't need to be in DF.
I mean what are you seriously doing that warrants this? It immediately pops anyway most of the time... like? Are you immediately going to warp away and do something else? What's the point of that. Don't queue if that's what you're going to do.

You mean as opposed to just opening the duty finder menu like every other group activity the game has you do minus treasure maps? And that treasure maps make sense not being in the duty finder because you're actually traveling to different locations? There's no reason to say entering via Quarrymill is a "wrong" decision on the devs' part, but let's not pretend it's not an inconvenience compared to how the rest of the game is set up.

No I like it. I think it's an awesome addition. It's not the wrong decision, it's a good one. It gets people together and after all this is a game that is meant to be played with others and the opportunity to chat and meet others is real there. You mean as opposed to just opening the duty finder menu like every other group activity the game has you do minus treasure maps? I'm not sure if I'm for or against having it in DF, but that's not a excuse for it not to be. It's all code that the devs have full control over. Codewise, it shouldn't take much to have DF pop up the PotD interface when selecting PotD. But again, I'm not really sitting for or against at the moment. Sometimes I would like the convenience. But from a world immersion standpoint DF kills a bit of immersion. As some others have mentioned in this topic, they can't simply put the instance into DF because of the way it works: you have to go in using a specific class, party/solo or progression slot. Why should it be added to the normal duty finder?
So you can avoid locations with lots of people?

For those unaware, not putting the PotD in the duty finder will kill it off extremely early. Chocobo Racing and Verminion suffer from the same problem; having to go to an arbitrary location and wait there to enter the content results in people just not bothering at all. If it's not in the duty finder and you cannot queue from anywhere whilst doing something else then people will stop bothering to queue for it at all.
