Add Palace of the Dead to Duty Finder?

1.0 had no dungeons until later on in its life span and you had to actually go to each dungeon to enter them. Ul'dah was the focus because the main story took you there and the way the market worked everyone wanted there retainers there. But for almost everything you had to physically go to each place to enter which was a good thing.

No dungeons, but Leves. And Thanalan had the best lv40+ Leves ("Dunesfolk for Dinner" in Camp Broken Water, as an example). And Thanalan Leves you only got from the Ul'dah adventurer guild.

While it's nice to see people gathered, I'm for adding Palace to the DF.
With so many people just standing there, I get a lot of lag and it takes a little bit for NPCs (including the one that lets you enter Palace) to load.
That or they could close off Quarrymill like they did with Idyllshire... >w>

There is not even 10% of the players during the first half year of the game in that zone.

Why should it be added to the normal duty finder?

So you can avoid locations with lots of people?

For some people with weaker machines/connections, yes, that is a valid concern.

For those unaware, not putting the PotD in the duty finder will kill it off extremely early. Chocobo Racing and Verminion suffer from the same problem; having to go to an arbitrary location and wait there to enter the content results in people just not bothering at all. If it's not in the duty finder and you cannot queue from anywhere whilst doing something else then people will stop bothering to queue for it at all.

This... is not really why the content died off quickly. Same goes for Diadem.

Sure, it was still a pain in the butt to have to do that, but that wasn't the primary reason.

No, Plz don't add this to the DF and carter to the Lazy again.. For the 1st time in maybe years people are actually socializing in the open world again. Idyllshire is actually empty, People running around doing random stuff together again & even with some the 1st time players, LFG in the Chatbox!? What magic did you pull to make this happen SE lol. And sure the DF made things convenient, but that Convenience effectively killed this aspect of MMOs, made people lazy and that sense of adventure was just gone. Why go over to said location and possibly have some fun while doing it when you can just que up on the spot right? Please don't add this, it really does make me happy to see this social aspect come back again.

Most be nice on your sever. Most of the time, people are either just standing there or emote spam. Rarely does anyone actually socialize (at least from what I've seen). :B

Nah. Takes some of the coolness out of it. As an alternative though, just do like they did with materia melders and put a DD host in each big city, so at least you won't have to deal with crowd lag (at least on my PS4 it does).

Only issue I have with it are all the people standing on the guy who let's you enter it and blocking others from clicking him.
