That's no better than "I don't like it so it's bad." Your whole argument is that it's a "mindless grind". We get it, you don't like it. Don't do it then. I had fun getting my weapon because I just played the game normally like I did every other day. Did what ever content I wanted to, when I wanted to. I played the game and I enjoyed the game and I got a 210 weapon out of it.

Unsurprisingly, I did just the same, didn't get a relic, DON'T want a relic, and yet still got a 210 as well. Wow!

My stance isn't simply "it's a mindless grind, therefore it's bad", and while it may not be of relevance to you, I'd encourage you to please read some of the finer points I've raised. If not, that's fine. You got your relic. Congrats. I do not, and likely will not. Now or ever. But I won't be silent about it if there's an issue. And I won't make baseless assumptions of others who have issues with it, such as, "you just want things handed to you."

Yoshida himself could log in and open a trade with me tomorrow and I wouldn't want it.

Is there a type of content you like in this game that gives you a weapon? If you answered yes to this, why are you complaing that there is an alternate way to get a weapon which you don't like?

If you were a type of player that had absolutely 0 ways to get a weapon, I would take your complaints seriously. But you said you like challenging content so what's the problem if there is a type of content to cater to your likes and there's also a type of content that doesn't?

It used to be easier when people still farmed Gordias. But since that isn't the case anymore, I agree that it should have some direct nerfs.

to the OP, there is something that some of you missed, you dont need to get any tomes actually or do much dungens at all, at least i didn't and i got 2 relic done to i230.

All what i did was mostly beastribe quests dailies, took about 1 hour per day. i mean the old beastribes + new ones, combined. that gave me all the tokens. i did my daily expert roulets to cap lore. it took a good month or 2 but it was very easy and effortless to do

and about the crafted items, i do them for people and i dont charge more than 300k for the whole set of 32 items, if they provided the materials. takes about 1 hour to craft all the items if materials are ready. if you on odin just msg me i will craft them for you. they are extremly easy to craft now days.

Okay great. You don't want things handed to you. You have issues with Relic. If your issues are addressed in alternate methods to getting a weapon, go do those instead of relic.

Is there a method you enjoy or don't mind doing in this game that gives you a weapon? So what's the problem with Relic then if you have something that caters to your likes already in the game?

It took me a halve year to get all 4x 20 items o_O
I didnt do Tribe quests for that dumb relic, more for the red materias I needed for penta melds xD

But when I was halve way done, I said, why not going further till the end? o_o

Between when this was added and now I just finished my first 80/80 set and bought the 4x4 's off the AH yesterday. Although it was probably a good thing I did the crystal tower weekly a few times. There's more options to farm for Eso to buy two Ore or Seeds a week at least. Its a little faster than the beast tribe dailies. Moogles give two kuponuts so, with that and another HW tribe. You can then just farm Amalj'aa and Shagin and stock pile tokens for shells and bones. Then do Crystal Tower raids or level 50's for Poetics and Oils.

Casually doing it will take a long while but it will take you from i200 to i230 in one go since you can save up for everything on the way.. Leaving the farming for crystals and sand to get to i240.. Honestly I think its easier to buy large quantities of moonstones with Company notes if you don't already do Blue and red script farming for that phase. Either way its not hard to get 1300~1400 Eso a week. Just do the Lv 50 daily as a tank and the four beast tribes on a lv 60. Then raid or two over the weekend with Burden of the son. So you can casual a i230 Ekion weapon in the meantime.

I grinded something like 400 alex normal runs, I am never repeating that again, it was total BS.
