First, they don't tell the new player about /nastatusoff and it's not exactly a simple command to remember or even to come up with on their own. Second, new players might actually WANT to have the leaf remain, as I did when I first started, because they want others to know that they are new and may not know the intricacies of the game like a veteran. I was actually upset when I first started that my leaf went away so quickly (it has since changed) as until I hit level 60, I always felt like I was "new" and wanted others to know not to expect much. Heck, even after I hit 60, I wouldn't have minded having it around as I was still learning things at that level.

Why should I HAVE to do this, instead of be given the option to not join in the first place? It's not like invite confirmations are unheard of in this game! You have to confirm joining an LS and an FC, why not the Novice Network?
