I have to say that including Ozma and FFIX battle theme at weeping city was so nice, because FFIX is my favourite Final Fantasy. But I think that Square-Enix could take the chance to add some Chrono Trigger references to Final Fantasy XIV like Chrono outfits, Ayla outfits, some boss or maybe some explicit referenced included in a dungeon; or maybe just a seasonal event.

I'm sure that in FFXIV there's a lot of Chrono Trigger fans and they will love any kind of explicit Chrono Trigger reference.

(I have to say that some of the Dravanian dinosaurs remember me prehistoric age mobs from Chrono Trigger)

The Weeping City theme is a very subtle cue to FFIX's Battle I, but it's not actually a complete remix - it only uses the first couple of bars of the main theme of Battle I and seems to repeat on it - not surprising given Battle I was composed by Nobuo Uematsu while the Weeping City track is presumably by Masayoshi Soken, two totally different composers. But I digress...

I love Chrono Trigger, but it's design may be too cartoony for this game. Even the silly costumes still follow guidelines to an extent. I think CT gear would work much better in Dragon Quest X.

I wouldn't mind seeing some Ivalice inspired gear though. Like FFT, Vagrant Story, FFXII. Similar to the Valerian gear we got from 3.0 dungeons. A reference to Tactics Ogre.

Weeping city theme also includes parts of the mor dhona field theme, Intertwined (well, remix'd of course)

The anniversary event where we got to meet the devs in the special room was (to me) a reference to Chrono Trigger's Dream Team ending where you meet in-game representations of the staff that worked on the game.

That being said however, Chrono Trigger is my personal favorite game of all time and in my opinion, the greatest RPG ever made. I'd love any possible reference to that game thrown in to this one.
