I've heard this for years, but I don't understand how this would effect queues. If there aren't enough people queuing what difference would removing the GCs do. Would you mind explaining it?The solution to this would be for the GC restrictions on frontlines alliances to be removed. Frontlines desperately needs this to happen to alleviate queue times for some factions as well. It would solve a lot of problems in giving everyone faster queues and making it much fairer for PvP achievements to be attainable without having to switch GC. I really don't understand why the devs continue to refuse to do this. I get there are lore reasons but this is one case where the gameplay really really needs to take priority.
First off, say for example the number of PvP players in say...The Twin Adders have 36, the Immortal Flames have 8 an the Maelstrom have 28. In this case a 72 match is impossible becuase while there are 72 players, they are "distributed" evenly, leaving only a 24 player match possible
Were the GC restrictions be abolished then the above example would be able to get into a match easily because their faction would no longer matter and thus a 72 man match is available.
A more extreme example would be 1 in the Adders, 100 in Maelstrom and 30 in the Flames, a match would not be possible period because one of the three is servilely underpopulated, which no matches would happen at all.
In either case were GC restrictions were abolished then most games would see 72 man matches with around that many people far more frequently
as with anything with restrictions and alliances, often there will be more people on one side as opposed to the other.
a que for pvp is 72 players, thats 24 players per faction. if there is 24 people queing in the flames but only 12 people queing in the adders and 34 people queing in the maelstrom, that que wont pop because those extra 12 people in the maelstrom need to find an entirely different que.
if there was no GC restrictions, the que would pop because those 12 exrta maelstrom people could join up with the 12 people in the adders. so in essence, its like that
72 people queuing for PvP at once?

I don't think it should be moved to the cash shop but it would be nice if the achievement was across all modes since PVP is really struggling. I mean even across all modes 200 wins is still a lofty grind with the queue times the way they are now.
They already are, just divided into thirds and placed accordingly to their respective GC. Removing this restriction would alleviate a lot of backed up players that can't get in normally because their faction is full and help fill another group which cannot get enough members to start.
This.i agree but disagree.its true its basically impossible at this point to get the original ADS mount, so they SHOULD do something, at least reduce the requrements.
the naysayers who say "but but, that guy worked hard and got it first!" dont matter, its an MMO, stuff gets easier, stuff gets harder. at this point its not a matter of skill or a matter of patience, the ques for frontline and the winrate are absolutely making it nearly impossible to get this mount.
i disagree that there should be other means to get this mount, because it would once again ldrag out the que times for an already horrid que time. but SE should add more encentives to this content or reduce the amount of wins or change the forumla for getting the mount or something.
at this rate you might as well be trying to run to the store while you are on a treadmill, you wont get anywhere
It's been long enough. Now that there is a fancy new ADS they can reduce the requirements of the other one, I don't see the harm.
As for Cash Shop... I would love that... but I know it would make people mad. I just don't have time to sit in PVP q's all day and i'm not switching GCs for a mount. So I know i'll never get it. Makes me sad, but oh well.
No one does Frontlines anymore now that we have Shatter. Just reduce the requirements of the original ADS mount, it's been out for a long time now.
No. This makes no sense, it's an achievement for goodness' sake, it means you worked for it. What's different about PVP stuff is that, because the PVP community is so small, you see someone on the mount and think "OH! Another PVPer!" They released a different, easier to obtain ADS from shatter, work for it.This.

I am an Adder on Primal, the worst GC here. When I see someone with ADS, I check them for their Grand Company, if it's Mael (historically strongest here, with frequent Pre-made PTs in frontlines), I don't think that's all that amazing. But if it's Flames or (especially) Adders, I think that person tried really, really hard to win, to overcome the lack of skill in their GC. Sure, Mael players on primal had longer queue's, but they could much more easily be carried by pre-made groups in their GC.
PVP achievements mean something, it means you repeatedly show up and play with other PVPers on your data center, who grow to recognize and appreciate your contribution to a match. Eventually you are rewarded for overcoming other players repeatedly, and you grow and become more experienced. Showing up with the ADS/feast/future feast gear tells the other players on your team that you're powerful, and to your enemies, someone to be feared. It means something, don't take that away.

lol Worked hard? I assume they just switch GC until they got it and spammed dutyalmost everyone I know that does have it, did this.
Which also points a spotlight at the issue with PVP being GC locked and not just for Q's alone.
Edit: Also like it or not, it will likely be reskinned and cash shopped eventually. People may not be loud enough on the forums for it, but if SE knows they can make money on it, they'll do it.
