Ninjas in ff14 do not specifically use any type of sword/ dagger. Its literally all over the place from axe type weapon to sickles. Itd be more accurate to say Ninja is a user of ninjutsu and you can change your glamour to fit your preference. However the base weapon for ninjas in ff14 are daggers and the playstyle lends itself to that archetype more than a swordsman.

so is more accurate to say rogues use daggers bcs is the most common weapon with that size in those lvls, most ninja weapons at lvl 50-60 have a very long size to can't be clasified like a simple dagger or knife but not so long to be call it a regular sword like paladins use.

and playstyle or combat style if you want to call it in that way there is not much to say story prove a weapon can be use in many forms like old european knight how grab the sword from the edge and hit the oponent with the handle.

in other words ninjas are dagger users and short swords users depending the glamour you have it (you can call it double lala-paladin long swords users too ;3) , but dont tell me the ravana ninja weapons, gordian baselards yukimitsu, ohojo kai, sasuke blades, yoshimitsu and a large ect are in the same bag.

In the end, I can only pray that if they do release a new DPS, please let a tank or healer be paired with it. I can only imagine the wait times if its released on its own. Though healers/tanks will love it I am sure.

I think I would really like to see Red Mage or Blue mage even. Particularly want to see a magic user of some kind which wields physical weapons, not your more traditional staffs, rods, orbs, books etc.

I'd love to see both Geomancer and Chemist to come in as healers. I know people want Geomancer as a magic DPS, but I think it'd make an interesting healer. Creating a healing terrian around the tank that does...various things. And if it last long enough and heals well enough, your Geomancer can stilll be a DPS, just like SCH. Chemist, ofc, would be a healer via mixing, which would be a ton of fun.

I also think Dancer should not be a TP healer, but a support DPS like NIN. Ofc, that's just my opinion, but I think it would be interesting.

Aside from those, would love to see all the staples make it into the game. Pretty much everything from FFE should be in here, as well as a few others. But with some classes being fused into others, I understand the limitations. Beserker, Time Mage, and some others were added to our current classes, I I get it if they aren't here.

    Ah, just had another idea.
ARR SPOILERS BELOW -- YOU WERE WARNED.

Watching 1.0 and 2.0 Cutscenes as background noise and forgot that the fight with Nero he wields a large hammer. Square since Tactics and beyond have touted an interesting class: Judgemaster.

It's been a new staple since FFXII/Tactics if memory serves. and in one of the new mobile ones I think, and it's a heavy armored job class. Now that if anyone beat ARR Nero is still alive and well and after the CT he claims that he needs to find a new calling.

Perhaps he could create the class and train would be adventurers in the ways of the Judgemaster, passing on his skills unto numerous proteges. Leaving a legacy, and a new job class for aspiring tanks who are looking to smash their enemies into a fine paste. This game would be perfect fit for them.

Except Judges are already taken by two separate aspects of the game which are by design inaccessible to players - one you have the Legatus which are the commanders of the Garlean military, each of whom lead an Imperial legion (like Nael and the VIIth Legion, Gaius and the XIVth, Regula and the VIth etc).

Because we are not Garlean (they're our enemies after all), you will not see Garlean military roles used by adventurers (it should be noted Nero, Rhitayan and Livia were actually not even Legatee but the lesser rank of Tribune, still powerful but subservient to a Legatus.)

The second use of the term 'Judge' in the game is actually what the GMs are known as - their special GM-specific gear is called 'Judge equipment' and is completely inaccessible to players (player characters cannot gain it nor could they even equip it if they tried). GMs also have a special icon beside their name which is the Judge helmet they wear too.

So that is pretty conclusive that Judge will never be a player class/Job in the game I am sorry to say, as it's already taken.

In FF Series the Gunblade users never had a actual Job name nor much Job identity beyond the weapon. Would they choose to follow the Gunblade job with Leather type armor since characters that use Gunblade weapon in FF series are often seen wearing leather/cloth type armor (more towards DPS job) or would they follow it up towards how the Garlean Military user often wear heavy armor (more toward Tank Job).

We know the basic Gunblade is standard issues for Garlean Troops as some cutscenes show basic low ranking garlean foot soldiers use the basic Gunblades.

However, what would be the Job story reason why the WoL can begin training to use a Gunblade Job? Who would be his/her training? What would be the inspiration for the Job's Role and gameplay? Why did it take so long for people outside of Garlean Empire to begin using Gunblades when the basic gunblade are often used as standard issues for the basic garlean foot soldiers?
