Why on earth would they print their own money. That would ruin the value of their currency and flood the already deflating economy. They need money that is currently in surrculation not just make money out of thin air. We dont need another "federal reserve" problem, 1 is enough.

Really you should think before posting.

The best advice I can offer to the OP, sure its a great idea. However paying for a game is not going to help the natural disaster relief in Japan. Your efforts would be best served by donating to organizations who assist with that problem, not a video game. Just bec its stationed in Japan does not mean they have the sole responsibility of helping fix the issue. There ar enough organizations out there where your money would be best served. We want to pay for the game to upgrade it and keep it going. You need to send your money in the right direction. The only thing buying crysta is going to do is help SE not Japan.

Guys... You are talking about money when Japan has a much more destructive problem... Radioactivity.
You guys do know that Radioactivity contaminates water supplies and the soil for over 20 years, don't you?
The radioactivity will ruin their main commercial activity other then Technology development, which is fishing. People have no electricity.
You can't solve radioactivity with money... Some countries are even blocking aircrafts coming from Japan at the airport for radioactivity decontamination.

It was my dream to visit Japan, and maybe graduate there... I'm really sad about Japans situation right now, as they have suffered much over the history (Because of the wrong choices perhaps, even that not being any close of a justification for the atrocity committed on the early era).

The only thing we can do is hope. And wish the best for the Japanese people to get through another resistance test that mother nature has set to them.

    As my Nihongo sensei says,

"Japan is like the Phoenix, from the ashes it was born, to the ashes it returns, from the ashes it will rebirth"

I also recommend donating directly to the Red Cross in Japan. They really need as much help as they can get right now.
You can also support some causes in your own country that are sending missions to help in Japan. Such as Doctors Without Borders or other emergency response teams.

I agree with you on most of this, but the radiation is not a trial of nature. That is something all humanity is to blame for and there is nothing natural about it. I only just found out about the state japan is in now with the nuclear reactors on the verg of full melt down which by the way would be the first time in the history of the world (all the others were only partial bec they managed to be controlled before that point). The most recent plan failed and they abandoned the idea of sending the 50 workers back in to try and fix the issue. They cant seem to get 4/6 reactors cooled down since they currently do not have access to fresh water (which is the only thing that works on cooling down the reactors). If thigns keep spiraling down in Japan the whole country may be at risk. I really hope things turn for the better I really do, this is not being said bec of FFXIV (well I do hope that is saved too lolz) but for all the millions of people who live in Japan I am praying you guys make it through I really am.

Hate to say it, but much of that information is either outdated or flat-out wrong.

Hate to say but I doubt its flat out wrong unless all of our news networks are flat out wrong. I was listening to the news this morning and they pulled out the 50 japanese workers bec there was just too much radiation. (at least that is what I heard). I am only relaying information that I was told, its not out dated since it was this morning I heard it.

Just an update but, thank god the radiation cloud is moving away from the coast of japan (from the wind I suppose). Only bad thing about it is, if the wind blows in the wrong direction it could hit the west coast of the US. Lets just hope they get it under control enough that we do not have the first nuclear meltdown in history. I am talking a FULL meltdown not partial.

No one really knows what will happen in a full meltdown since it has never happened before, but from what I hear it could burrow into the earth and contaminate the earths fresh water supply. I doubt it will get to that point, but to create something with that much potential devastating effects is beyond me. I for sure would have never gone through with creating nuclear fusion if I knew it could get that bad. The worst case scenario is earth shattering literally.

    Sorry for double Post but

UPDATE: They still have people going in and out checking I guess, and if they cant manage to get it cooled down they are going to flood it with sand and concrete (cuz I guess the nuclear reaction needs oxygen to keep going). This is good news and thwarts all the doomsayers. Yes nuclear power could be scary and I would never approve, but it would seem there are safe-falls.

Radiation levels have been slowly going down, there's a few spikes every now and then but it hasn't exceeded 12 millisieverts/hour.

This is the version of "control" you talk about. Whenever there is a meltdown, or it is inevitable to go "boom" they will always fill it with sand/concrete.

Also, It is pretty sad when posters convert a thread with the sole purpose of helping others, into a political and economical debate. Shame on you intwerwebz thugs.

I was not trying to be political, just being informative about what is currently going on in Japan. I tend to not pay attention to the red tape in such a dire situation.
