Did the tsunami hit SE's offices? 'cause let me tell you, you're better off donating your subscription to a real help fund if not.

This would do more harm than good. Just donate if you wanna help out.

If you really want to help, find a respected, known, and one that isn't totally going to pocket the money organization and slap them with a briefcase full of money.
That'll go to Japan. There's really no need to pump all our money to SE in the name of helping all Japan.
Last time I checked, they weren't Japan's spokesperson.
Honestly, as much as I feel bad for Japan being in the state it's in now and having to go through seventy hells, people are just beating the living crap out of this horse.
Master of Catalyst, Hooks Dopple of Gilgamesh
TONKA TRUCK LEGO BLOCKS.

I'm surprised to see how many people find evil where there isn't. I'm a casual gamer, playing barely 8 hours per week. I have no interest to have the game running immediatly.
Yes I gave 30€ to a Japanese fundation already. That's all what I can do for now. But I thought linking game and donation would have a better result. If only 2000 players choose to pay for the game and have the money given after to a fundation, it would be 20000€ per month. But I have learn that humans don't give on their own.
That's why the idea to link donation and game came in my mind.

Unique item could be sold and the money would go to a Japanese rebuilding found.
Not to bash them, because it is a pretty cleaver idea, but i did bash blizzard when they sold a pet for $10 and only gave $5 to haiti, the messed up part was that they sold another pet that was 999999 times cooler for $10 and gave nothing to haiti for that one, yet the lame looking one was the one they used as an excuse to suck some money <.<A good compromise has been found by Evangelus :

Stop talking about rebuilding when they're still fighting for their lives. The situation is not even over yet.
Also, this is all so useless. Sure it's nice to post a comment on a internet forum saying you care, but I bet 99% of you have done nothing of value to help the situation- no, praying does not apply. That's just an excuse to make you think like you're helping.
What the hell is this subscription crap? Donate to the cause directly if you want to help. It's not a difficult process and SE is no company to handle that stuff. Do something of value or stop being silly.

+1 primarily for the bashing of prayer lolStop talking about rebuilding when they're still fighting for their lives. The situation is not even over yet.

As good as it sounds to help pay for the disaster through Square Enix. I would say a vast majority of people would rather donate however much money as they want through RedCross or something. Good proposal though.

Any donations for the relief of people should not be filtered through a commercial company first. This is why we have organizations like the Red Cross. They post their spending publicly and you know that the majority of your donation will go to relief efforts.
I'm not implying that S-E is unethical, but they are run by shareholders who invested money to make money. There's always a chance that a portion of your donation won't go to the relief effort. Not to mention that the Red Cross has a lot more experience in helping people that S-E does. Meaning they can probably do more good with your donation that S-E ever could, simply because of that experience.
Dear S-E,
Your s#!% has improved, but it's not quite there yet...you might want to see to that.
Thanks.
