Guys... You are talking about money when Japan has a much more destructive problem... Radioactivity.
You guys do know that Radioactivity contaminates water supplies and the soil for over 20 years, don't you?
The radioactivity will ruin their main commercial activity other then Technology development, which is fishing. People have no electricity.
You can't solve radioactivity with money... Some countries are even blocking aircrafts coming from Japan at the airport for radioactivity decontamination.

It was my dream to visit Japan, and maybe graduate there... I'm really sad about Japans situation right now, as they have suffered much over the history (Because of the wrong choices perhaps, even that not being any close of a justification for the atrocity committed on the early era).

The only thing we can do is hope. And wish the best for the Japanese people to get through another resistance test that mother nature has set to them.

    As my Nihongo sensei says,

"Japan is like the Phoenix, from the ashes it was born, to the ashes it returns, from the ashes it will rebirth"

    Regards,
    Llan Hana.

I also recommend donating directly to the Red Cross in Japan. They really need as much help as they can get right now.
You can also support some causes in your own country that are sending missions to help in Japan. Such as Doctors Without Borders or other emergency response teams.

I agree with you on most of this, but the radiation is not a trial of nature. That is something all humanity is to blame for and there is nothing natural about it. I only just found out about the state japan is in now with the nuclear reactors on the verg of full melt down which by the way would be the first time in the history of the world (all the others were only partial bec they managed to be controlled before that point). The most recent plan failed and they abandoned the idea of sending the 50 workers back in to try and fix the issue. They cant seem to get 4/6 reactors cooled down since they currently do not have access to fresh water (which is the only thing that works on cooling down the reactors). If thigns keep spiraling down in Japan the whole country may be at risk. I really hope things turn for the better I really do, this is not being said bec of FFXIV (well I do hope that is saved too lolz) but for all the millions of people who live in Japan I am praying you guys make it through I really am.
