Can we PLEASE come up with something other than tokens? the number of these systms in this game alone is maddening.

Can you come up with a better system?
Here are the two required core characteristics:
a) Content will be run multiple times
b) Same rewards for same effort, which equals set effort for set reward
Have fun brainstorming something up.

There is nothing to fix other than the players who don't want to work for things and want it all to be easy. Been playing this game for 3 years and the RNG is just fine. One doesn't have to have all the gear they want just because they want it right away. Work for it. Sorry but that is a good thing about the game and not a a bad thing. It keeps people running content to get things that they want.Except you do. You just don't get it reliably. Key difference.
I know two people who, so far, got every drop they were going for on the first run each week. Why? Because they got lucky. Now that is "plain silly", is it not? To get gear of your choice by running the content once? Right. And now, how could we fix this silly situation...?

1. side quest akin to the archmagus quest.
2. a sub objective that is chosen from a series of role objectives when the duty is run again after clearing. these ojective can be performance related stuff, or based it on participation like a tuned up version of FATEs.
I'd rather stick with what we have now or something sompletely different, then go though yet another batch of token to run through again and again.

Which, uhm...drops 3 tokens into your quest inventory to be redeemed. The latter might cause people to get the respective items too quickly, but that depends. Kudos for that one.
@Tsarra
I'm afraid you make it obvious you don't understand what token systems are nor how they work, so I feel it's a little pointless to address you further. Sorry.

if duplicated exactly, include the items(or craft items) and you have something different.Which, uhm...drops 3 tokens into your quest inventory to be redeemed. The latter might cause people to get the respective items too quickly, but that depends. Kudos for that one.

This "thing to trade in at like its a carnival" is what I want to avoid. make it simpler as an actual side quest or more involved with crafting, but not what it is now.

Oh sure I don't know. Make it easy to simply your point by trying to imply people don't understand tokens. Got it.

You are equating token systems with instantly or even quickly getting something. When you consider that the third anima step, Coming into its Own, runs on a dual token system for all but treasure maps, that is simply an immensely ignorant statement that shows a glaring lack of understanding of the system.

Oh really. I have 5 relics and am about to get my 240 this afternoon. I know all about working hard to earn something. I also know about people who want to dumb the system down to make it easier for them so they don't have to work so hard. Don't preach to me about being ignorant. I fully understand where the op and others are coming from who would like tokens for everything. Simply make it easier for them to get what they want. You are equating token systems with instantly or even quickly getting something. You are showing on every turn that you don't.
I'll just take from this that you hate fairness and rewards justified by effort, rather than luck. I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree there.
