Ohh boy, of course this turned into another FFXI vs. FFXIV thread.

People complain the rotation system in this game is too simple, yet I see most players who cannot even grasp that system. Not to mention, bringing FFXI's system back and to an extent FFXIV 1.0's battle system, only creates unbalanced job preferences to content. Ohh the mob is weak to fire? Bring only BLM's and MNK's with Fists of Fire.

FFXI's system is also easier to execute than FFXIV's. The hard part was getting the jobs leveled or the spells purchased. Both FFXI and FFXIV 1.0 were a complete mess with job balance and was pretty miserable. Just look at FFXI even today, they still not let jobs people want to play into end game groups.

Yea, lets put a battle system in that causes more problems than solve. Am I the only one who remembers 10 years of horrible job balance in that game? You can not like ARR's battle system if you want, but if you believe FFXI's system is what would supposedly "save this game", then you only need to look back 10 years ago to today. It does not work well.

Idea! Why don't you try offering ways to make the current system better instead of trying to take it down and add an outdated, archaic battle system. People should take the rose tinted glasses off and be realistic on how an unbalanced system like that would be an even bigger issue.
