And thats fine and dandy, but I still can't have everything I want either. I want to get a i245 weapon from beating A8S, but I'm not there yet, and may not even win before it becomes irrelevant. Even in real life people have realise, they can't have everything, and this is no different. You all just seem to think that because you pay the sub, you have more right to get what you want, but I feel like that is not the case.

It's very different, though...Not a good comparison. Even if you want your i245 weapon but can't get there because it'd take you too long to do this at your pace, you still have the possibility to get it if you work for it. It would have been a good comparison if people were complaining they can't get houses because they can't raise enough money to get one. It's still achievable if the person puts the time and effort.

In housing's case, it's not possible, even if you have all the gil in the world, because there's no more land. Buying a relinquish is not a viable option either. So, no. It's not the same. Because even when your i245 weapon becomes irrelevant, you'll have ilvl 250, 255, 260 and so on that you'll be able to aim for. Meanwhile, there will still be no housing for those who want it.

How or why isn't it a viable option? Because people over priced them? because you don't have enough gil to pay that much? Plots are for sale, its about how willing you are to go that extra mile if you really want it. I'm not gonna say whats right or wrong, about buying and selling land between people, but if you have enough gil, you can get what you want.

Maybe you should reword what you were trying to convey.

What's right and wrong doesn't matter. What's allowed and what isn't does. Those overpriced house sales aren't allowed.

Try asking a GM. They haven't told us.

They set the 'maximum' price on it they expect people to save up and pay for one already. Anything over that is overpricing. Whether or not it is 'astronomical' might be more subjective but in terms of overpricing they have already said what the maximum price should be. House flipping aka buying just to resell at vastly inflated prices is against the ToS as evidenced earlier in this thread and there is already proof also that people have been punished for doing it.

You need to read the other paragraph. Reading the whole post tends to make things clearer.

And buying a relinquish is not an option because it's been confirmed a reportable offense.

But if they relinquish it freely? How is that not an option =3= Some people actually have a heart to the homeless.

Oh, by "buying a relinquish", I meant paying someone to relinquish. Bad wording. o.o

But yeah, actual people relinquishing for free happen less and less now, so even if it's somewhat an option, it won't be soon. (It probably already isn't anymore on a few servers)
