Is it really that deplorable to point out you shouldn't willingly seek out stress if you have a problem with it? Though, my return-sarcasm for Zepla probably met the standards of deplorable. What the OP stated about someone saying "kill yourself..." is pretty awful, and should be reported, but is that really so unexpected in a competitive scenario like PVP? Players get heated during competitions, and they say all sorts of hurtful things they may or may not truly mean. Pardon this analogy, but it's like someone allergic to bees wants to own bee hives and harvest delicious honey - they're going to get stung.

There is a large difference between giving legitimate, thought-out advice with the intention of being helpful and/or offering an alternative solution, and flippantly saying "If you have mental health problems just avoid the entire internet <3" The heart isn't cute. The attitude isn't cute. It's not helpful, and it is demeaning. Is it really that deplorable to point out you shouldn't willingly seek out stress if you have a problem with it? I agree that if someone has mental health issues and/or low self esteem, PvP isn't the best place for them. However, as OP stated, if they choose to participate there are ways to minimize the effects of other people's outbursts. I don't so much disagree with your train of thought as I do with the way you presented it. If you're going to give advice in a way that is belittling, condescending, or sarcastic, then you might as well not give advice at all because you're only doing every reader a disservice and painting yourself in a negative light.
Fortunately, I wasn't trying to be cute, belittling, condescending, or sarcastic with my original reply. The internet is full of people who enjoy trying to stress out other users. PVP may be a more focused area, but the internet as a whole is fairly stressful. People say and do whatever they want, sometimes even with zero consequence. I thought it was legitimate advice for reducing incoming stress if one cannot handle it. Though, I suppose I could've gone more in-depth, like now, and candy-coated it a little. Candy always helps. There is a large difference between giving legitimate, thought-out advice with the intention of being helpful and/or offering an alternative solution, and flippantly saying "If you have mental health problems just avoid the entire internet <3" The heart isn't cute. Best of luck to you in learning how to convey the correct tone you wish to have perceived, then.Fortunately, I wasn't trying to be cute, belittling, condescending, or sarcastic with my original reply. If only it were that easy with text chatting. Even if I learned the perfect way to convey the proper tone I wished to be perceived, it could still be misconstrued. I don't mind the backlash though; people are passionate and have opinions about everything.
