"A peaceful environment" PvP isn't and never will be a peaceful environment. I would argue the game is, for the most part, peaecful. But PvP? No, no way. It's a melting pot of chaos.

Our characters, our avatars are fighting. That's where the chaos is and that's where it should stay. We, the players, are on the same team and we should always be supportive and kind to one another.

Where did I say it was appropriate? I only said that PvP is one of the more chaotic locations in the game where this is more likely to happen, so it shouldn't have come as a surprise that someone would have said such things.
"On the same team", if you read what the OP said, it was a character on the opposing team. Players are never going to be supportive if they are on the opposing team, PvP is mostly about looking out for yourself, and people will have that mindset. That is not a fault of the OP that they were and that they felt the need to use such language, but it is what it is. I don't advocate this kind of behavior but I am not surprised that it did happen, and in PvP of all places.

Should people with mental health issues hide themselves away from the world because we, as a community, are simply too cruel or incompetent to practice self restraint? I think we CAN do better than that.
We should never condone hate speech towards anyone. The fact you were so quick to blame the victim is proof that we have a long ways to go towards making this community more tolerant.
You seem to be confusing avatars with people. We are all gamers, and that puts us on the same "team" all the time - even when our avatars are on opposing sides.
No, it's not surprising that it happened in PvP- but if this is the "norm," that is NOT OK. And the sooner we can all acknowledge that, the better.
Ah, sorry for not seeing this sooner. Unfortunately, you weren't exactly helping the situation either. You took my original post and took it a step further by defending it, with sarcasm, in a rather extreme way. So, I, in turn, defended your side, sarcastically, with an extreme. OP kind of indirectly got caught in the middle there. I hope you could come to agree with me that we're both to blame on that one.
That's pretty mean, to be honest. Blaming them for willingly entering an engagement that has high chances of increasing their mental stress? You can't blame them for that. Holding people accountable for not thinking straight is simply unjustified; they have mental health issues afterall!
Is it really that deplorable to point out you shouldn't willingly seek out stress if you have a problem with it? Though, my return-sarcasm for Zepla probably met the standards of deplorable. What the OP stated about someone saying "kill yourself..." is pretty awful, and should be reported, but is that really so unexpected in a competitive scenario like PVP? Players get heated during competitions, and they say all sorts of hurtful things they may or may not truly mean. Pardon this analogy, but it's like someone allergic to bees wants to own bee hives and harvest delicious honey - they're going to get stung.
