Now I have a question, was the inabaility to know if you recived mail in instances a QoL feature or the results of beinginstance away form the server during duties.

The only real suggestion I can give you for this problem as it exists already is to be aiming your camera in the direction you want to move and jump just before using the ability. Your character will auto-face, attack/cast/release, and immediately return to the prior facing without being able to actually change direction. However, Auto Face Target + Standard Camera is extremely dangerous, because it causes my movement to jerk in the direction of the target. If I'm under pressure and activate a new GCD while escaping an AOE, that zig-zag can be enough of a stutter to get me clipped by the AOE effect.!
That said, it would be great to have an option allowing us to imitate that same process without actually having to remember to L&R MB + Space every time (or the controller equivalent). It's literally the only use I have for the space bar at the moment.
On the launcher's character selection screen, it currently tells us which veteran reward rank we last received and how much total time we've purchased since the game started. This is completely useless information, yet the launcher clearly has info about our account at this point. Could it please be changed to telling us how much time we actually have left on our account before it needs renewal in order to not expire? That would be worth knowing.
(If you want to bring Veteran Rewards into it as well, it could also add how much more time we'll need to subscribe for in order to earn the next reward. It would at least be more meaningful than telling us what we already have. But it's still secondary to knowing when we'll need to pay another subscription fee in order to keep playing the game.)
For the new fire work, The time the gil is tossed in the air, and falls to the ground isn't enough time for screenshots. Your arm is tossed in the air, and not enough time to emote with the fire work.
Please have coins a more solid before they disappear into nothing.

Please add a restrictive hitbox around public Summoning Bells.
As a PC user, I'm in the habit of clicking on objects, and individuals have a habit of standing (or even, often, AFK'ing) directly on top of the Bells, forcing me to adjust my camera to odd angles in order to find the one spot in-between someone's legs where I can click on the Bell's model.
Quality of Life Suggestion - Retainer’s
The ability to give our retainers multiple ventures when farming mats. For example sending out our battle retainer to collect 10 Yak Milk with 1 venture, this process takes 1 hour. Instead give us the option to give a retainer 5 ventures (or more/less ventures if considered by developer) for 50 Yak Milks that will send the retainer away for 5 hours. The reason for this, is not always being around/stuck in raid/forgetting to resend the retainer out on a venture, or possibly logging out for a few hours.
Quality of Life Suggestion - Linkshell’s
The ability to move Linkshell slot 8 to slot 2 and vice versa. As time goes on we either leave or get kicked from linkshells leaving us with blank spots in-between though not an issue, becomes slightly cluttered. This would give us the option to reorder our linkshells without leaving and being re-invited. People may have their casual, less active LS's at the bottom and raiding or more focused groups at the top. Maybe hunting linkshells in the middle.
This is something that I would like to see, and have thought about for quite some time.
You should be able to hide names and make non-objects/NPCs unclickable by holding down 'x'.Please add a restrictive hitbox around public Summoning Bells.

Hello, QoL suggestion here. While I know it's not terribly hard to click on the sub-menu icon for duties and such, then check DF for the queue (or click it in the HUD if text and quests are on), I thought of a different idea. What about a mini-size HUD element just for DF queues?
Examples I created relatively fast. This way we don't have to pull ourselves away from a task to glance at the queue (or switch a job back if it's about to pop and you want to start the CDs resetting).
I figure this element would only appear once queued for a Duty via DF. It wouldn't exist for PF, and could be moved / scaled / hidden like all other HUD elements. Grey for non-fulfilled roles, yellowish (the standard text color) for fulfilled role requirements.

The-Real-Link!
Thank you for this. It works well and I can now keep Standard cam on most of the time. The only real suggestion I can give you for this problem as it exists already is to be aiming your camera in the direction you want to move and jump just before using the ability. Your character will auto-face, attack/cast/release, and immediately return to the prior facing without being able to actually change direction.
The only issue I'm encountering is the slightly erratic way the server understands a character's position while jumping — sometimes it doesn't seem to register a location change until I hit the ground again, which can be deadly if I jumpcast right before escaping an AOE.
Life on the edge, I guess.
So, let me condense my previous wall-of-request down a little:
For the devs:
- Turn on Standard Camera.
- Turn on Auto Face.
- Make dangerous AOEs appear under your feet.
- Strafe out of the AOE, and use a ranged ability while doing this.
- Watch as your camera jerks you back into the AOE because you got auto-spun toward the enemy.
- Now, do the same thing, but Jump before activating the ranged ability.
- Watch as your character intuitively spins, uses the ability, and keeps going in the correct direction without any issues.
All I want is for Standard + Auto-Face to work like that always, even when my feet are on the ground.
I don't mind JumpCasting in the sense of the extra button, that is actually fun. The reason I'm still asking for this as QOL is that Jumping causes unreliable, unpredictable behavior with how the server interprets a character's position.
Also, I'd still appreciate an option to disable Auto-Face vs. Friendly targets, because getting spun and jerked all over the place if casting Regen, Goad, Spur, etc while moving is unnecessary (Friendly actions don't require facing), annoying, and sometimes deadly.
