The Golden Saucer - Can it ever be relevant and fun?

There is nothing SE can do to Gold Saucer that will not become a chore eventually

I disagree with this. I'm pretty sure there is someone with a great idea that could come up with something really fun that people enjoy doing for the sake of doing it, and not because they are chasing a carrot on a stick.

Lord of Vermillion had that potential I think...but they ruined it.

In fact....I'm really disappointed that they aren't using the Chocobo Fighting Arena in Ishgard.....that could be great.
