yea I getcha... more tight sleeveless tops for guys would help a ton.
Honestly a simple thing they could do for both genders is to proliferate the racial outfits to ALL the races. Like Miqote male starter top is just generally AWESOME and I bet many male charactewrs of other races would love to wear it. The same can be said of the male Hyur starter top. It also would be nice if the hemp undershirts were proliferated as well. The male Miquote version is... ok if a bit impractical but the Hyru version of it is perfect! proliferating the starter outfits so each race can wear them would add a number of really great options for males and females alike!
Here's an example from the old City of Heroes game (sadly defunct). While not a fantasy game it had a mix of fantasy and sci-fi elements to make character costumes that was virtually unrivaled by any other game I've played. This is something along the lines of what I mean when I think of something both sexy and yet masculine. This was for an old arcane spellcaster character I had before the game shutdown.
It shows skin without being gratuitous. It's not overly embellished with tons of chunky/dangly bits. It doesn't look like a dress at all. And it showcases the male physique in an aesthetically pleasing manner IMO.

How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
I pretty much agree. The caster sets usually are ugly with those silly ugly wizard hat and robes. While I'm sure female characters look cute, it looks completely bad on male characters.

No that this adds much to the discussion but I get tired of how everything looks badass on the larger female builds but the same piece of gear on my POTATO looks like I am an old MAWMAW!!!!
But I definately agree, some of the most hilarious examples of this are the crafting sets. Lawd Lawd Lawd some of those on the guys were hysterical.
My personal view that will fix the whole issue is to scrap the whole male/female gear and have entirely unisex gear. When a gender specific gear piece comes out (say... a swimsuit), when the player equips the gear, it will change to be gender specific. This means that whenever a piece of gear comes out, it MUST be accessible in some form to both genders (spring skirt, spring shorts). This way we can create masculine gear, feminine gear, futuristic gear, regal gear, with no arguements because everyone gets what they want.
Yes this will take more development time, but I have always championed longer development times in the name of accessibility, rather than developing gear for a specific niche of people.
Edit: I realised that all unisex gear does this anyway, so why is this not a precedent? why do we have female exclusive glamours with no male alternative?

They should think also for big body like roe and highlander if they want made unisex gear. I ended up glamour all healer and caster gear whenever they add new gear because it won't looks good for big body type IMO.
while us females do have more glamour's for our specific gender, some items you males have, id love to get my mitts on, id love to see all items become gender neutral, cause I love your south sea's top. The necklaces that give arm/chest tattoo's. I wish there was a female equivalent, besides that over used ninja/monk top.
This is exactly my point. There is no way that a female could just wear the south sea's talisman, but if it was unisex, females would get something similar, but adjusted for the gender (like my example of the spring shorts).while us females do have more glamour's for our specific gender, some items you males have, id love to get my mitts on, id love to see all items become gender neutral, cause I love your south sea's top. The necklaces that give arm/chest tattoo's. I wish there was a female equivalent, besides that over used ninja/monk top.
I dunno if it's been mentioned yet, but I have one word for you:
