My reason for this is because there are a lot of people who have been talking about wanting to buy a house on their alt for the sole purpose of re-selling it for an outrageous price.

So they should limit the resellers to main characters and dummy FCs only? Your idea would change almost nothing.

How about no personal house sales for a week, so FCs can get housing?

I don't see the logic here.. Maybe you should re-iterate -why- you think FCs should get priority over individual housing.

FC housing has everything that an individual house has, and more. Locking a free company out of housing so you can get your own personal house is just as selfish as locking out another player from personal housing by getting a 2nd house.

If the true goal is to end reselling, your idea doesn't put a dent in it.

Why would -that- matter if the individual is actually planning to use their medium / large house? (for RP / gardening / decorate it as they please?) people that want buy houses for the sake personal use are no less valid than FCs that want them for similar reasons.

Either way, you're derailing the topic. The topic / suggestion at hand is to prevent people who are simply looking to buy on their alt for the sole sake of re-selling for at least 300% the original price tag.

• Not everyone that buys with an alt is for flipping

Your counter-agument is flawed, you completely missed the point.

- This thread points out the problem with people (WITH ALTS) who are planning to abuse the limited housing system in this game for the sole purpose of a dishonest profit and screwing over the rest of the community while they're at it.
- My solution applies to any individual or FC hoping to score a house of their own and give THEM a chance to have their own 'private' virtual plot.

I'm aware there may be people without houses wanting to buy one with sole intention of 'flipping it', those should / will be mass reported right away anyway.

Preventing alts to buy housing would lesses the stress on GMs and allow people who don't yet own a house, a chance to get one without grief.
