Thread: Suggestion for 3.3 housing and alts

I agree. I dont think.a week is unreasonable.

On the upside if anyone does try it you can simply report them and let the GMs handle it. However I agree, I think they need to check the account and anyone who has at least 1 must wait to buy in the new areas so those without still have a chance, but with the number of people wanting a home I feel that many will still go without.

One house per account/per server is how it should have been from the get go. Sadly, the devs give people too much credit sometimes.

And why can't alts use housing if they are fully functional and meet the requirements? If they impose a restriction like this they need to enable the ability for alts to share the main accounts house. That shouldn't be too hard to accomplish and should have been the case from the start.

Oh, I agree.. If the house is account bound, all characters on your account get access. It'd be like Sleipnir/Bennu mounts in a way. Unless GMs actually plan to sit and patiently watch people try to buy up multiple houses just to resell them, this is the only way that will prevent it.

So they should limit the resellers to main characters and dummy FCs only? Your idea would change almost nothing.

How about no personal house sales for a week, so FCs can get housing?

I admit the only reason I would love a house is for gardening, so I can cross-breed and get the items to dye my chocobo. Though I do have a lot of alts.... I guess the devs just didn't expect people to make alts in this game. I know you don't HAVE to but for some people, like myself, alts just seem natural for many reason. For me it boils down to habit and not being able to settle for just one appearance. And I'm not going to spend a ton of money on fantasias to change my appearance constantly. :P

Anyway, back to the topic. I think the devs should consider the merits of a housing overhaul (or revamp?) to make houses accessible by alts on the same account/same server, and limit personal houses to one per account/per server. But that's just my opinion. A GAME opinion!

FC housing has everything that an individual house has, and more. Locking a free company out of housing so you can get your own personal house is just as selfish as locking out another player from personal housing by getting a 2nd house.

If the true goal is to end reselling, your idea doesn't put a dent in it.
