    Fair enough but some of the higher level stuff should be that way as well. Just don't want people thinking that MP management consists of bringing along enough DD to kill a mob before it can do enough damage to test the MP limits of a mage. I mean how can you test a tanks capabilities to hold hate if the fight lasts 5-7 mins. Extensive fights teach players a thing or two about resilience and relentlessness. I also think running through 90% of a dungeon after it took them 4-6 months to put it in seems sort of counter productive to people complaining about content.

    Running through the dungeons is actually player's choice, most players run through dungeons bc they are r50s and doesn't need the SP. People actually does kills everything in r25 dungeons (if they are on the right rank).

    You can test tank capabilities to hold hate at world roaming NMs.

    If you have super free time, you can enter that instance endlessly....
    but for people who can play only on weekend, it's good for them to enjoy some great battle for many time as they can.

    Yoshi will change it if it not working, eventually

    Crafters are only a small part of the puzzle that is materia grinding.

    -Spirit bond grinding
    -Sorting through the good and bad materia
    -Getting a weapon to attatch

    -Finding a crafter to do the same attatch

    In the end you have a system that is gruelingly difficult but with "Perceivable" amazing results. The gear your going to get from Boss battles will be mediocre at best compared to a customized 5 sloted +3 weapon of your choice. (At least it better be) Because if it's not the materia system will collect dust for being too hard for too little reward.

    While I abhoar the "Please everyone" development style it is what they are trying to do. The people who need to have the most elite gear will probably spend more time obtaining materia than they would fighting ifirit, in turn allowing them to crush ifirit with the higher end gear allowing more casual or less skilled players benifit from the strength of the "Hardcore" peirs. Casual players can either fight Ifirit with their own groups or grind some lower tier materia or less slotted items for the fear of loosing the item they don't have "Time" to obtain more of.

    Casual players can do any of the content, and Hardcore players have at least one system they can sink alot of time into and in the end also help the casual players in the long run.

    It's far from a ideal system...but I can see where they are going with it.
    I never said its not a time sink, I said it's hardly comparable to real battle content, 1 is supposed to compliment the other.

    In fact I think Materia will ultimately destroy this games difficulty, Yoshi-p already said they have no plan to balance fights around materia, which could lead to some crazy overpowered players. (anyways this is getting off topic

    They WANT everyone to get everything to keep people "happy" but back in reality the people who take the game seriously are done in a few weeks and have nothing to do.

    As I said elsewhere they need to give incentive to players to kill the trash, remove the timers whilst in a dungeon and have an objective like clearing a zone before a boss appears, I really hate the train method that is currently used in the rank 45 dungeon.

    At least the Rank 25 one has an objective in the form of recovering protocells, the R45 one needs something like that also.

    As Jynx mentioned previously having Ifrit at the end of a dungeon would have been a much better idea than just allowing players to stroll in and attack him.
