I'd say no, the game I came for had game breaking titles and it created a heck lot of drama. Aion is a korean developed game and I can see why they have such a thing in place. You'll also see people selling title runs later on.

Eithercase, I rather not have titles with effects, at that point you're taking something that's meant to give flavor to your character name and homogenizing it for the sake of stats.
