Lancer skill for Dark Knight

Final Fantasy 4? I always get confused. I remember using Dark Knight as a DPS Main Tank.

Tell me please what skill had to make it tanky. Because all it had was Darkness/Souleater, which is the antithesis of what a tank is supposed to have. In fact, they took it out on FFXIV so it could be a tank. Cecil turned into a tank when it became a PLD, if only because of Cover.

inb4 someone mentions the heavy armor, MNK had by a huge margin, the biggest HP pool in the series, and it was not a tank.

So please, let go of this argument and focus on FFXIV without mentioning the past iterations.

I told you what I used, not what was the best. If we are talking about FFXIV then unfortunately it is a Tank. Although.. it really doesn't have much identity. Warrior does everything better then it does, Paladin has less dps but does everything better then it does except does a bit less dps and can't block a few magical attacks.

Identity=Magic Tank=Lol. Kind of a joke really.

If Paladin some how gains an AOE skill and one or more off-GCD attacks then Dark Knight will be completely outclasses and worthless in this game.

monk, yeah meaby but doestn matter when the other series you have a limit of 9999 of vit.

nektulos: in the older ones you only have dps and healer, in ff4 you have frontal dps are cecil, kain and egde, and the mages back ridia and rosa, you dont have tanks there, cecil only have cover and thats all.

cecil sacrifice whas a skill how increse you next attack power, in DS version the skills put a buff on cecil and take her hp slowly in X turns, so SE take ds version of sacrifice and take MP instead of HP, and ppl got mad for that?, class identity for me i feel like a dark knigth, one how fall in to darkness to use powerfoul skills and i take the essence of my enemies with sole survivor, mi role is tank, who in lore whe are few knights how take arms vs the holypriest to protect the downtrodden.


drk is a tank this is the true reality, so you want to sacrifice a phisical defense and a self heal skill for a parry skill and a damage buff? drk need foresight, not a burst skill, whe have spit and carve+da and a lot ofgc for that.

Well, let me say that it's a royal pita trying to read your posts, and that I'm not gonna argue why people are mad that they took its signature move away.

On topic, I feel it would be nice if they made LNC crossclass skills available for DRK to use, especially Blood for blood and Keen flurry. If DRKs are gonna use it wildly, then that's on them, let the rest of us manage its usage properly and have another tool with which we can have fun.

drk only have 3 full mitigations skill and only 2 are for all type of damage, get away foresight leave us to have only 2 skills to mitigate physical attacks, reprisal dont count for rng, yeah you can use keen and dark dance to force it but is still rng and whe have a chance to the skill can't be activate in a crucial moment, blood for blood is bad for the damage taken, is better take internal release and second wing instead and 0% to increse the number or lazy tanks.

Firstly, I didn't say I wanted MRD to be taken away, and secondly, B4B wouldn't mean an increase in the lazy tank population, since lazies are gonna laze like they already do.
