Problem there lies in the time it will take, because after those 1.5 month 3.4 will come out with the Lore upgrade and Savage will be nerfed like last time making those easier to obtain...SE never learns.

Just gonna point out the last one (on limited time): You honestly think the nerfs to Savage will lead to alot of people being able to clear it, multiple times?

Nerfs will make the weapons easier to obtain compared to how it was before, when i say Midas 4 NM for the cog is still not easy plain sailing (ppl keep using different names for the Midas sections and name Savage differently) Again the new "Void ark" will bring out the weekly to upgrade Lore items which then will give players instant 240 items...
I just cant justify a grind anymore. Only reason the 210 was a grind was to keep people doing Alex since it became pointless due to Eso gear. We have 4 primal fights why cant we use those like the old relic did?
It does matter... The point is that I calculated the different strength of the weapons via stat weights x stat values. Assuming Tier V materia of the best available slotted into Lore and Seph:
Seph: 1121.38
Lore: 1151.31
Relic: 1148.88
The Relic is barely worse than the lore - from a weapon standpoint, the lore is 0.2% stronger than the relic (assuming you slot tier V materia). When you take into account the rest of your gear, this number drops even further to about 0.1% or less. In other words, if you parse 1500, you can expect to see 1.5 higher DPS with the Lore than the Relic (1501.5 vs 1500).
In my opinion, you'd be better off using Lore to upgrade more of your 210/220 items to 230, and get the relic. That would give you the better overall stats in the short-term.

The relic grind to 230 is a bit weak from my perspective. It can easily be done in 2 weeks of regular playtime, and in 1 week if you just have no life.
It can be done in 1 week easily. With your daily roulettes, you can get a piece in just under 3 days. Add in eso's from void ark weekly and midas runs etc - you can get 3 in one week. Then grab your CT drop in week one and CT drop in week 2 and boom you have 5 oils by next Tuesday with 0 grinding, just daily/weekly stuff you are doing anyway.

Even with nerfs Gordias Savage still won't be completed by most of the player base, and IF Midas Savage gets nerfed (which 4 probably will not unless you count Echo buffs as a nerf for it) it'll probably not be completed by most people either until it can be undersized 10 levels above it. The next VA also will only bring the upgrades for armor, the weapon upgrade won't be realeased until 3.4 so if you aren't doing Savage the relic will infact be better by 3.3 in comparison to Lore.
As far as using our current primals and the like for the relic: I'm with you, and I think alot of players as well would rather have things like that instead of a grind. But SE saw numerous people complaining about how they couldn't get a relic because of one fight wrecking everyone (Remember the complaints about how much of a DPS race Gordias was? Titan HM was just as bad for most people, to the point they were dropping a tank for another DPS and still not meeting the check). Now if they get enough feedback maybe they'll try it again, maybe even at some point this relic. But I wouldn't hold my breath for the next few steps.
It can certainly be done in one week, but I'm not sure that it really matches that last comment.
Once you take the esoterics from two Void Ark and Midas clears into account, it requires just over nine days of doing every roulette, every day, on a level 60 job (since you won't get the esoterics from the level 50, leveling, or trial roulettes if you do them on a job that's not level 60).
I don't know for how many people that's "daily/weekly stuff they're doing anyway". It's certainly not my normal routine.

So it should be a split option for the player base, either do primals or grind. BUT SE GIVE US THE OPTION TO DO BOTH! Dont just force a massive grind for the sake of people who whine about content. I managed my relic back in the day when HM was really hard but if ppl want a grind then do not force raiders who want the relic to grind! As far as using our current primals and the like for the relic: I'm with you, and I think alot of players as well would rather have things like that instead of a grind.
