I guess the real frustration lies in the fact that this appears to be non-prioritized. At this point, where it's really affecting playability of the game, it should have a higher priority than adding new content.
There's *a lot* of things he's said as explanations for why they "can't" do some thing or another - and most of it sounds great on the surface, but then makes no sense once you start really thinking about it, and doing a comparison to other features he readily implements, seemingly without issue (such as the example you gave).I can't be the only who found it ridiculous for Yoshida to say that a glamour log was impossible, and then for him to implement the Orchestrion which is exactly what we're asking for, but with glamour! He claims that a simple check would take as much as an inventory slot, so by implementing 50 songs (give or take) per patch, we're losing out on 50 inventory slots per patch? Not the case as it's not true, but I dislike how he blatantly lied. It's either that, or he misunderstood the question and thought we were asking for a retainer like system but for glamours.
I've come to think that basically he's developing XIV as his own "dream MMO". Anything that doesn't fit squarely in line with that - no matter how popular or highly requested - he blows off and says "can't be done because limitations" so people will stop asking for it.
Certainly agree with you there. QoL additions/changes should always be made, at least in part, a priority. We really don't see too many of those, albeit they really aren't THAT important. I mean, new substantial content is still in demand and is rather low in quantity compared to the ideas that I'm sure they have in store for the game for the next couple years, so you have to give them at least a little leeway on that end.
When it comes to QoL things, just look at how "well" they handled RMT. Took mmm... a year(?) to add in that FR filter to stop the spam of that confirmation window. That's kind of what I am referring to on the hope thing. I suspect several more years until a proper chat filter will be in place. If something is currently working, then it'll definitely be put on the back end to alter or "fix" it, but that's reasonable in most situations.
We don't know the conditions of the workload they have or how big of a team(s) they have that would actually work with a particular QoL want. Eventually however, the time will come when the lack of proper QoL will bite them in the ass... severely. That's just how it tends to work out. Maybe we're approaching that stage, maybe not. Either way, as is common practice, they're willing to gamble it.
Go farm it again is a solution. You are just to lazy to see it through. Did you ever consider that a glamour log would thereby give people zero reason to run old content that would otherwise give mainly glamour to veterans like us?
You want something? Go farm it. You discard it for space? Farm it again. Join the new players so desperately trying to do the content instead of begging for a way to avoid it. Could you be more selfish?

How many retainers do you have, 2? If you are holding on to anything 100gil or less on the marketboard it's my policy to vendor it.
In the future if I ever need that item it's always there on the marketboard. You can use the marketboard in this way to increase your storage.
I would run old content if it didn't need hours to get in.Go farm it again is a solution. You are just to lazy to see it through. Did you ever consider that a glamour log would thereby give people zero reason to run old content that would otherwise give mainly glamour to veterans like us?

And I like to store the stuff because I am unlucky with RNG - I run so many WODs and never saw the BRD chest drop and I still don't have it, and I want it for glamour but I can't seem to get into WOD under any circumstances, so yes I store the stuff because if I am lucky it will drop, but mostly I am not.
And personally I do not need an incentive to go into old content I like it.

If you have access to FC chest just make a twink, or 2... you only need like lvl 10 or something for retainers.
Well until they decide to "fix" that and you can no longer have more than 1 character per account in same FC
But i agree it's rather sad you have such limited space, especially for a subscription game
This would gimp someones income greatly as i know many casual crafters whose main gil source is diffirent prism grades, with only one grade it would mean everyone will flood it thus cutting prices extremely low compared to what we can get now(sometimes grade 4 prisms sells for 15k each). Just saying.
While I dont mind the current amount of storage I have now, nor do I mind if I get more. The reason of "people use it to make gil" is not a valid reason to keep something the way it is.This would gimp someones income greatly as i know many casual crafters whose main gil source is diffirent prism grades, with only one grade it would mean everyone will flood it thus cutting prices extremely low compared to what we can get now(sometimes grade 4 prisms sells for 15k each). Both my main and alt are in the same free company. If you have access to FC chest just make a twink, or 2... you only need like lvl 10 or something for retainers.

I'm guessing you just can't invite your alt so you'd have to have someone else in the free company to invite your alt.
