The subject of this thread is somewhat bittersweet, I guess I'm just trying to see if anyone else is running into the same toxic clouds that I am.
The main issue I'm getting at the moment is players doing their daily roulette, not reading the gigantic "new player bonus" at the start, or my attempts to advise them that I am currently trying a duty I have no clue about.
This would be no problem at all, if all goes to plan. However, with new mechanics to which the solution is not immediately apparent, there is a fair chance someone will cock up, or miss something. It is at this point that certain players feel the need to explode into an incandescent ball of rage and possibly neckbeards. NOT HELPFUL.
Is it really just me? or has anyone else got any crackers where after playing seven thousand hours straight, someone doesnt have the time to type "just focus down X enemy".

If you're talking about savage or extreme content, I'd understand.
But for new content?

Some people actually want to have fun and try things for themselves before getting YouTube to do it for them. I'm sorry but expecting people to watch a tutorial not even a week after the patch is released is very rude and insensitive on your part.

Yea cause it so bad that people want to be able to experience the content first before knowing every detail of it.

This is by far one of the worst statement/reasoning that can be made in terms of doing content. It's like saying "I can't think for myself, I need someone to handhold me thru a tutorial. Then after I accomplish it I have the rights to rage at other players for not getting handheld thru tutorials like I did.". The mechanics to most things aren't hard to figure out, you may get people who wipe a few times before it clicks and they go "Oh that's how it works.". Which is fine. It's called a learning process. Using ones mental facilities to understand how the fight works makes it easier when they do it again and again and help others to understand that need to know it.
Crying to players to watch a tutorial first instead of trying it before hand blind to learn and understand it is like telling a child to watch a youtube vid on how to ride a bike then throw them on a mountain path and expect them to ride it flawlessly. Not only that but those who are relying heavily on tutorials and youtube vids creates a bigger handicap than having the time and patience for people to go in blind and actually learn mechanics on their own. You don't need to sit before a fight and explain every little step in detail, give people the benefit of a doubt they know how to do a majority of the basic mechanics, or after experiencing it one or two times they will pick up on it. If you wipe due to a certain mechanic and you know/figure out how it works then explain it. It's called communication and it is something that is vital in a MMO, which this one sorely lacks lately.

People like you make an MMO suck. Thank god I can be lazy enough to not waste my time on you. And luckily to us, which dare to have fun and try for ourselves, peeps like you leave quite fast.
Then again, in case you want to know: I enjoyed 2 hours of wiping in Chrysalis with 2 different groups and see them getting to know the mechanics.. it was fun

Some people like to play content blind during launch week, it can be fun. You should try it sometime ya scrub.

Not always is it people are lazy, some people want to do the content as if it was first day...though those people are rare and tend to bring full groups to content

This is the worst attitude, and basically an instant indicator that someone isn't a very solid player, after all you are having to refer to guides while everyone else is figuring the fight out on their own. If a fight is 3-4 weeks old and on farm by most of your server, sure read a guide...But don't expect people to spoil fight with guides in the first week, we get new fights four times a year, and for me personally figuring out those fights without a guide is where the fun is.

Well, there are some real nasty people out there. I was able to get time to finish A8 last night for the first time, funny part was my I'm new message got lost with all the introductions and sighs of a new guy. We pulled instantly, but we wiped once on the last phase. They raged on each other! I just had to sit back because I was the new guy and they started accusing each other of being new.

After that I figured, okay I got this down I want to do some practice. I signed up again. We got a new person, she was a healer. Our complaining tank was a mentor and the mage even said she was new. We wiped at 3% because she died towards the Voltron phase. Every time she got up she would get hit with something. She got up twice and the mob decided to pick her to jump on. It was unfortunate, but really not her fault.

The mentors advise? "This is sad..this is such an easy fight why are you all having problems?" "Try not to die, dodge stuff. It's not that hard..." so that was the mentors advice to the new healer. Along with a long list of complaints of how they should know the fight inside and out.

Thing is no one helped explain anything either time. Now my first time, I always go in blind. After that, it's guides and questions. Still, it can only prepare you so much for getting use to moving properly.

Most of the guides were iffy, by day..two or three? They were completed and wonderful. Now I'm sure you are going to go out and find that one spotless, perfect guide that was posted within hours. The golden gem! That's awesome! Now..the others.

Most of the people are too busy doing content, taking notes and update later. So there is a delay. Also realize within these hours people have a wide variety of schedules. Should it really cater to just those who don't have anything to do? Take sick days from work? Miss college classes? Or simply have the day off from work? Could the game really thrive on that % of income?

My guess is no. There are two sides to this, there needs to be an acceptable time frame where players should learn fights and in return there should be an acceptable time frame that people like you need to realize this is going to happen and nothing you can do or say will make a difference. Within a week a majority of people will have the clear, and on top of that the people who are new..the ones who have cleared will have the gear to make up a difference. Wipes will happen..get out of your mothers basement and deal with it.

I honestly don't care if you think it's "rude" or "insensitive" when the information is available. You are willfully choosing ignorance, so expect the reaction. So yes.. REALLY! Stop being lazy and take the 10 minutes to at least know what you are getting in to.

No, like you, we are choosing to have fun as early as possible. We just can't get to it as early as you. That's awesome you have the entire day to slack off. If you are tired of coming into content with new people after a day of content being up then don't play the patch for the first few days. Let everyone catch up to you. No? Don't want to? Well then, you're putting yourself in a tough pickle there my friend. Or...or..pay for everyone to have a day off. You let me tell you how much it would cost to have me stay home for one day, pay me, I'll learn the fights to your liking.
