Yeah, had this a few times in Midas today, people not explaining mechanics then yelling at people for not doing them even when half the party if not more is new. Sadly.... this isn't a new thing and it isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The subject of this thread is somewhat bittersweet, I guess I'm just trying to see if anyone else is running into the same toxic clouds that I am.
The main issue I'm getting at the moment is players doing their daily roulette, not reading the gigantic "new player bonus" at the start, or my attempts to advise them that I am currently trying a duty I have no clue about.
This would be no problem at all, if all goes to plan. However, with new mechanics to which the solution is not immediately apparent, there is a fair chance someone will cock up, or miss something. It is at this point that certain players feel the need to explode into an incandescent ball of rage and possibly neckbeards. NOT HELPFUL.
Is it really just me? or has anyone else got any crackers where after playing seven thousand hours straight, someone doesnt have the time to type "just focus down X enemy".
It's such a shame, I played a fair bit when the game first came out, and it all just felt a bit friendlier.
I agree, personally I do think a lot of the community is poison. The poor Devs, if the community isn't crying about one thing, they're crying about another. And the people aren't as friendly either. But what can one do in regards to that? I guess find a different game, or just forget the community aspect and enjoy your game.
I wouldn't say that at all. Just as soon as you hit the harder content, the attitudes are the same. Titan Hard at launch was the breaking point for most people, and there was a very large anti-Warrior prejudice at the time too. People were nice up until they were challenged and then, like now, they try to blame everyone else for any failures.
How I see the new abilities:
Asylum - Get ready for my holy spam because that's the only healing you gonna get.
Aero III - I guess I should put some dots up before holy spamming.
Assize - I need more MP to spam holy even more, also stop getting hit in the face.
Tetragrammaton - I guess I should heal that tank now.
Stone III - There's less than 3 mobs left alive. - Ragns Meuhie
This is the unfortunate truth. It's just something that comes with the game, I suppose. I think the longer than usual gap between patches has made players more feisty and apt to jump down each other's throats than normal...but we've always had this general problem.
I clearly recall going into Alexander and asking who was going to use the Gobwalkers. Nobody said anything. And when the inevitable wipe occurred, everyone was up in arms and pointing fingers. I had the same issue when I first went in and said that I was new. Everyone just assumed I knew exactly what to do and how the Gobwalkers worked.
It's sad, but I've honestly just come to expect it and shrug it off. Drink some coffee or wine while watching everything fall apart, or read a good book. It's...it's less painful that way.
