I don't have battle class above rank 25. I'm a fisher and alchemist, so do I have the right to fight to get my chocobo? I'm willing to level my r10 something archer, please power level me. Do you have the time for it?
You do have the right to fight for this. The question now would be would you be willing to level up a battle class to aquire the chocobo, be it doing leves or by being power-levelled?
Didn't I say "I'm willing to level my r10 something archer" and ask for help to power leveling me?
I was just checking. If you're willing to compromise in some way in order to gain a personal chocobo there shouldn't be much of a problem. If you're in a LS I'm sure there'll be someone in it that will give you a hand, or someone here on the forums that can help.
As the case may be you're the first craft-only person to post in this thread regarding this and you've accepted that levelling a battle class is the easiest option at the moment. Hopefully the ones argueing about this will see how people are willing to work around the problem and stop their argueing.
Thanks![]()
I tried to shout, but no one seems can help. My LS members are doing their own stuff, r45 raid mostly. I feel being left out....
Getting to rank 25 can be accomplished fairly easily and quickly in a solo manner. Leves and solo-grinds are very accessible.
As for feeling left out, you will find that it will get even worse in this game as long as you don't level a battle class.
But i spent all my free time to level up two class. I gave fish and shards to my LS member, they are really happy about it. I'm really happy about it, too. I do my part in game to help, even i'm willing to level my archer to get my chocobo, i still feel something wrong about this. Why I need to do something I don't really like to get basic element like chocobo?
Ah, finally.
Before anything, let me say I respect your decision in playing only DoL/H classes - or perhaps simply primarily. I do, however, question it. Also I want to point out that at this point I will no longer take any post that brings up the initial FFXIV promise of having DoL/H and DoW/M on equal standards seriously. That has been adequately answered multiple times.
There a couple simple things players need to understand:
DoH/L classes are now considered support classes, and are not on equal terms with battle classes. Content is primarily made for battle classes, whereas crafting/gathering content is primarily made so DoL/H can further mingle with battle classes. This much has been officially confirmed.
The chocobos being implemented at this time are of 2 categories: rental chocobos and Grand Company issued chocobos. Rental chocobos are a form of transportation available to all players regardless of class choice. Grand Company issued chocobos are premier chocobos being rewarded to players who enlist in Grand Companies. These Companies, by definition, are armies representing each of the city-states and thus only enlist battle-ready players. Furthermore, the actual Grand Company issued chocobos have been officially confirmed to be intended for battle purposes in the future, with cavalry combat as well as chocobo armor in exchange for GC seals being content that are over the horizon.
Given such circumstances, it makes little sense for DoH/L class levels to be considered for acquiring a GC issue chocobo.
That being said, I feel the root of the controversy is that despite the large amount of content any player who refuses to rank battle classes will miss out on, personal chocobos are something they simply must partake in. As it stands, there are two ways for them to experience it:
- Quickly level a battle class to 25, join a GC and get their chocobo.
- Wait for the inevitable chocobo breeding system and make do with rentals until then.
The act of demanding content meant to reward a specific kind of effort by putting forth an alternate kind of effort will not serve a constructive purpose.
As for power leveling you, I suggest you start with your immediate allies and friends in game before expanding to ask people on the forums. It is an MMO after all, I expect you to have people you regularly play together with. Yoshi-P has also officially stated that he has nothing against a certain degree of power leveling.
