Not really fear mongering when you see it already in the game.

Shock horror! You mean its there already!? Without some kind of parser!?
You are afraid that if people can see their performance, they will actively try to improve it... and that jerks are going to be jerks, but the jerks are already in the game...
but yes, fear mongering.
What I am saying is we have no reason to show other people our stats, if I see I did bad, I will see it and try to improve myself. Cant say the same for everyone but guess what, if they don't want to do better having stats shown will not have them suddenly feel guilty and turn it around. Also, I would work on that sarcasm, kinda lacking.Shock horror! You mean its there already!? Without some kind of parser!?

The reason why showing other people is so that you can know if you did bad. If you get an arbitrary number. Let's say you are a SMN, "You did 2 million damage this run". Great? Now let's put some context in. The SCH did 1.6 million, the DRK did 3.5 million and the BRD did 4.2 million. As a SMN you probably should be the highest with your massive AoE in a dungeon, but you're sitting at almost half of the tank's damage. Not so great. What I am saying is we have no reason to show other people our stats, if I see I did bad, I will see it and try to improve myself. Okay, I think maybe were thinking 2 different things, I was looking more at percent of damage. In that case the Summoner would be seen sitting at about 20% of the total damage given which to my understanding the DPS together should be making at least like, 70%? With the Tank and Healer making up the remainder? Sorry maybe I was misunderstanding the idea that was going on.The reason why showing other people is so that you can know if you did bad. I see. I don't think a percent would be very useful. I feel more data = better, less data = worse.Okay, I think maybe were thinking 2 different things, I was looking more at percent of damage. In terms of the SSS, I have been wondering, how will it be tuned? Is the DPS required to clear the dummy = minimum required to complete the turn, or = enough to comfortably clear the turn? If it is the former, then in an average group you join probably still can't clear it. it will be very annoying when you clear the dummy, go in and your constantly hitting enrage. People will get frustrated and assume someone is lying regarding their clear. If it's the 2nd, that is misleading, where you can't clear the dummy, but are actually quite capable of clearing the turn. Then there is the addition that it may just not be tuned correctly (too high, too low, not accounting for AoE, not accounting for mechanics or adds, not accounting for buffs/stacks dropping off during phase changes etc.)
