It should be included but it should just show YOUR own dps and not others. It would be great to see own improvements doing dungeons and raids.
It fosters frustration in many facets, not the least of it being for people who want to see their numbers and cannot parse themselves. No, I do not think SSS addresses this adequately to not be frustrating. In fact, I feel this will increase frustration, but time will tell.How does it foster Frustration? Well maybe pre-3.2, but if Stone, Sky, Sea is any decent of a DPS gauge then elitists really don't need to deal with randoms who are bad at their jobs ever again. If you get frustrated at people who are bad at their jobs, they don't do content where you're matched with randoms and instead do it with people you don't get frustrated with.
As for your second point, I get frustrated when people are playing at poor levels, but my standards are not terribly high. That said, I do often run roulettes with my static and/or FC-mates, but that can't happen all the time. For example, right now a couple of my friends are on vacation and my other buddies weren't online - so I did all my roulettes solo. It happens sometimes, *shrug*. Despite all of that, running a roulette with friends is not some sort of secret that only a select few know, suggesting this is rather condescending.
Numbers are used all over the place in every industry, language, culture and region. They're incredibly useful for gauging performance, measuring success and/or setting goals. If I set a goal at work "Increase sales" then my boss will ask, "by how much?". It's important information, and to suggest that stuff is about "BIG NUMBERS" is merely stating the obvious and shows your ignorance to how the world operates.

Honestly...
Those fancy abacuses stress me out. I don't know if I'd like having them for *every* run. They're useful for raids and I have one for that context only, but for less demanding content, I prefer not to worry about it and just play.

Numbers are the tool of the devil!

I'll refer to a post I made in another thread.
I believe this is the real issue, lack of feedback from the game. No one has ever been shown that they are performing badly whether that be from parsers, a grade at the end of a dungeon, based on the current party or the server average. It's the mentality of 'well i've never been told I was a bad player so theres nothing wrong'.
They need to see hard facts from the game, not people they're paired up with in the DF otherwise its just seen as an attack. You never hear scoreboards being toxic or elitest do you?
Im sure if anyone run dungeons and saw at the end of almost every run;
'Average DPS rank for your class: B'
'Your DPS rank: E'
They would start to think wow it wasn't people just being nasty, i'm doing quite badly compared to everyone else, I should step up my game.
And I believe that this shouldn't be something option like the new dummy. It should be private to the player at the end of every instance based on your job, level, ilvl and the server/data center average.
