Why can't you see your stats when you finish dung/raids and trials?

Thanks for the laugh. Cause you know, being against parsers must automatically mean I want to foster bad play. (<--That was sarcasm btw) But people do have the right to play however they want and everyone needs to just get the hell over it. If they want to go into a dungeon and ice mage all day get the hell over it. You wanna pay their sub?! Then you can tell them how to play. People wanna use crafting gear in dungeons? Get the hell over it. Pay their sub and then you can complain. You went into a group with randoms. You knew there are people out there who play this way that you might get paired with, and you were given options to deal with such people. Vote kick / leave the duty / vote abandon. In game parsers will do absolutely nothing to improve the game and only legalize the harassment of people with low numbers since they wouldn't be able to report people for calling them out anymore. You think that will fix the problem? If anything it will make the rift wider. I already see so many "Big number drunk" parser people with 3rd party illegal ones. I don't wanna think how bad it would get if SE actually supported parsing.

I would imagine it's a little harder to run into these problems when you're the one creating them, like the time you went into VA as a Lancer and spammed Chaos Thrust.

I have gone into a level 50+ duty as a class a grand total of 4 times since I started playing and haven't destroyed the run in any of those cases. A couple of them I actually got comms cause people were apparently impressed that a conjurer could heal so well in Alexander so no I don't create this problem.

Not really fear mongering if people already harass others about their numbers. The only reason it's not as wide spread now is because they can be reported and banned for mentioning numbers / parsers in game. Not really a stretch of logic to assume it would get worse if parsers were legal.

Yeah, I'm sure that the other healer in the group had absolutely nothing to do with your success. If you don't see how you're creating problems by unequipping a job crystal and spamming one skill, or purposely shooting yourself in the foot by not having access to Presence of Mind, Regen, Divine Seal, Benediction, Asylum, Assize, and Tetra, then I'm just not going to bother replying to you at this point.

I would quite like the idea of being given a grade at the end of a run. So for example, you'd have a Performance grade (which would be calculated on your average dps/hps/enmity grade (I don't know how it would work for tanks...) compared with the average dps/hps/etc of other people of the same level in your class/job) and an overall performance grade (compared against everyone else of the same level in your role (dps).
That way you have a point of comparison to know how good you are without other people necessarily being able to see your scores to belittle you.

Alternatively you could also introduce achievements for getting rank A performance in various duties/trials. That'd be far more useful for the mentoring program than just the sheer amount of duties you've done.

Mostly I'd just like to see how I'm doing. Having come from WoW where I had a dps addon at all times, its hard to know whether i'm actually doing well or not unless someone says something about my performance (which so far has only happened when I was attacking the wrong thing)

If they ever implemented it. It would need some kind of "mechanics done" measure. In many cases people would just look at the dps and figure that guys really bad. Because he's hundreds of dps behind them. Yet that guy might be the only one actually trying to do mechanics.

Which player would you say is the better one.

A: the dps that put out 1000 dps on a boss ignoring mechanics .

Or B: the dps that put out 500 on the boss but got all the dragon killers, correctly popped any defensive barriers, placed fodders, or even stunned/silenced any crucial attacks. or dealt with whatever other mechanics may be present.

Imo you can already kind of see the mentality when you look at dps roles that don't use quelling strikes ever because they have to be really high on the hate list for some reason.

Where is your proof that in game parsers would lead to this? I could claim that in game parsers could turn the game into sunshine and rainbows and give no evidence. Exactly like you have just done.

Heaven forbid people are actually pushed to do damage instead of doing numbers people were doing in 2.x.
