Yoshida has gone on official record to state Crafters and Gatherers are secondary roles. Content for Crafter/Gatherers is being developed with what you are now, a secondary/support role.

You can say Yoshida said this all you want. He can say it a thousand more times. The Crafter/Gather community will not accept it. It is unacceptable for our voice to be ignore and these forums will rage on with the voices of the at least half of this community to Enjoy Crafting and Gathering and want it to be an integral part of the game. This game will never be a success just by catering to the Battle content. Combat classes will never get this game beyond par. It is the Crafting and Gathering that set it apart from the rest of the industry and only when we are given equal consideration will this game ever begin to shine above all the others.

You are complaining about something that is only true in name only. As secondary/support role, we are still getting Materia, new recipes, Gathering upgrades, new nodes etc....

Edit: As a Support class, what I believe we will not get is progession in the main story line quests anymore for example

Of course they will.

They'll spout a bunch of empty RageQuit threats, and then fall in line. Because it honestly takes only a few hours to complete the requirements, and hey - if you can't put in a few hours of doing something you don't want to do, to get to something you DO want to do, you're playing the wrong game to begin with.

It is acceptable, and nobody really cares about the raging. Every time there's a change made to the game, it's one group or another on these boards railing about how unfair the game is. A whole bunch of you need to grow up.

The funniest part is, you're bitching on the behalf of others, as you clearly aren't affected by this. Neither are 99% of them. There's just a lot of remaining hurt fee-fees over people being told that this isn't a game where crafting/gathering is considered to be the equal of fighting - and never will be, because it's Final Fantasy, not Farmville.
