Hey now, my name is best name.
But I do get a kick out of people that think the height of creativity is coming up with a name. It just reminds me of people who think calling people out on your/you're makes them superior...

Deedlit I pulled from Lodoss War. Blanchimont I pulled from Atelier Iris 1 and 2.

*kicks up her feet and leans back, sipping tea* This'll be good. I wanted to avoid "anime name" syndrome while adhering to the lore for Raen, but, my chosen name is also a very common and popular name in both Japan and the literature it produces, so...
Something... something... edginess... shadows... wait... I'm supposed to be a paragon of love and justice!

If I ill ever rename myself I will name myself:
Tsun Dere
or
Yan Dere!

My 1.0 character is Naraku Diabolos, and I made a male Sun Seeker named Inuyasha Diabolos. I actually had a friend on FFXI on my Diabolos server named Inuyasha (my character on FFXI was Naraku), and he helped me with a lot of things on there. So I made the Inuyasha Diabolos as tribute to him, and I do like the name.
This is a fallacy where you assume that they think it's the height of creativity because the opposite requires none whatsoever. Sounds pretty defensive to me. Also worth noting is that your and you're are different words that mean different things. More often than not, it tends to be informative so someone doesn't sound like a buffoon.

Anyone else here named their character after an anime character. My character is from the monogatari series. if your character is named after an anime character and you are on the Diabolos server let's be friends. I'm already friends with Chitoge Kirisaki, Lina Inver, and Kotori Minami
...Ararararagi san

lol, yep defensive. totally!. tbh, from the way people talk about it, they do seem to think it is much more creative, as if the name is the extent they thought of. Everyone in my old FCs that used to this this had the most bland names, as if they added a few letter to their own..This is a fallacy where you assume that they think it's the height of creativity because the opposite requires none whatsoever. Sounds pretty defensive to me. Also worth noting is that your and you're are different words that mean different things. Also, it's not really informative, most people know the difference, its just when typing things on mobile, it comes out that way, either because it's quicker or you aren't paying attention. bringing it up is just a method of ignoring what was said. It's fairly easy to understand what was meant, especially in informal forum conversations. It's not like it's a legal document.
There is a legion of Kiritos and Asunas
I've seen a few Erza Scarlets and Natsu Dragneels, and just one Lucy Heartfilia (and yes she was a summoner)
I've also seen an Eren Jeager and a Mikasa Ackerman
And i have seen all of these names and surnames blended at some point.
My biggest fear is coming into a party full of Kiritos

My name isn't a character name, but it is my old nickname I've had since childhood since Selli is easier to say than Selina... I guess. Even my original last name for Selli (which was Esylenna) is just my middle name backwards with a couple letters changed.
My creativity is pretty limited. XD
