Crafters have no right to get their own Chocobos

Sure they do. They are only 'full time' because they've made that choice.

It would be like there being awesome crafter content released, and someone who only levels up DOM/W bitching b/c they can't get access to something that they've never put any real work into. Doesn't make sense.



Both classes have the exact same rights to get the chocobo. You don't get one just b/c you are of a certain rank, you get one by promising service to one of the grand companies. It's entirely reasonable for them to prefer the services of people who can actually fight in the upcoming conflict, yaknow.

yeah, how dare people that strictly craft or gather think they could be of use by making the weapons and gear the company members will fight with, yaknow.

i have r50 battle classes so it doesn't hurt me, but is is just more proof that even though this game promoted crafters and gatherers being full classes in this game yoshi is turning his back on them.

edit: there's also a big difference between some kind of actual content and just being able to get an alternate way of travel just because they do not fight monsters.

oh wow surprised with this response, i got fighter class so doesn't affect me but was thinking they had crafter/gatherer in mind by obtaining CS with other crafter/gatherer related grand company leve's. That's gonna make some of those people playing only as crafter/gatherer (if any still exists)

In theory, all crafters are the gil-mongering superrich, therefore they should be able to purchase one. for 500 million gil.

Also, if you don't think they'll cry their way to free chocobos, you don't know playerbases very well.

This wasn't a surprise to me. Yoshi-P did say awhile ago that he was planning on making the primary focus on DoW/M, with crafting and gathering going into a secondary role.

After all, this is Final Fantasy, not Harvest Moon.

again, the team has already stated they are straying away from crafters and gatherers as being seen as classes equal to that of DOW/DOM.

sure there are pure crafters and pure gatherers, but there are also pure battlers which almost every crafter/gatherer bashes on for not wanting to look to them for things battlers deem irrelevant to their own gameplay style.
much like having to seek out a crafter for repairs past 75%.... why should i? im a pure battler and there is no real difference between 99% and 75% gear wear. therefor i feel the NPC repairman should repair ALL gear to 99% so i dont have to associate to that extent with a crafter just like crafters dont want to battle to obtain their war steed (or chocobos in the FF series but serve the exact same purpose)

I don't think there are many people that don't have a DOW/DOM class to lvl 25, besides the new ones. What is the point of levelling craft jobs only, how would they craft the HQ's without some HQ mats that can only be obtained through battle..?

Then, SE should remove crafting classes and gathering classes from character selection.
