I wouldn't place too much importance on what's said on these forums. Pretty much every MMO/game forum (or at least all the ones I have been to: WoW, GW2, D3 etc) have the same types of posts on them:
- The game is dying
- The game is dead
- The game is rubbish / stagnant / not as good as it used to be
- Content is too grindy
- Content is too easy
- Content is too hard
- This game is discriminatory due to x reason
- The playerbase is horrible
- I'm quitting and you guys suck
- x decision has killed the game
- x company doesn't listen

I could go on, but I think you get the point.
It's hard to take any of it seriously any more. Generally, if you have an issue with a game, then by all means post about it, discuss it etc, but soooo many people make sweeping statements (everyone is fed up of x) or they assume that the forums are a valid sample of the playerbase and make assumptions/false correlations/conclusions etc (people are whining about the game therefore everyone is quitting therefore the company should pay attention to my highly insightful suggestion) based on it. Sometimes they follow it up with anecdotals from in the game as well, as if that makes a point any more valid.

Anyway, tangent over. tl;dr - all forums whine. it's what forums do.
