    I was in the Vault the other night with my FC healer, getting her the dungeons she needed for her Relic. But DPS was low (two at-level BRDs), and she was having a horrible time with lag, and kept lagging to death on the last boss (usually on the last phase where the two lines of knights march down the platform). Despite multiple strats and attempts, the lag kept killing her when that second line of knights came out (to the point where the entire screen would lock, and six seconds later she'd rubber band to her death). Our final attempt won the match, though, because after she died, I was able to time Hallowed Ground just so to preserve my life with <200 HP left, and keep tanking the boss long enough for the DPS to get another LB1 out. The fight ended right as I was about to take a hit that would have meant death.

    While I used Hallowed Ground on that attempt, Living Dead would have been just as effective.

    Gealers have to dps? No, but with a good tank and normal pulls (very rare conditions) they can contribute to the dps (and is even funny).     Entirely possible to heal certain duties entirely in Cleric Stance as a Sch, if you have a good party. SS prepull, alternate Eye for an Eye and Rouse between pulls, have Eos use Whispering Dawn when she can, if tank is still taking a bit too much dmg on a pull, have Eos use Fey Illumination, and if there is a lot of magic dmg going out, have Eos use Fey Covenant.

    Point 1 - To me (as a tank) speed runs annoy me. *IF* I'm in a group with friends and I know everyone can play, I'll happily run one. But with even one unknown player they can be painful as can because....

    Points 2 and 3 - Everyone needs to know the mechanics. All classes, period. It's not tank-specific or heal-specific, everyone does. Everyone can help DPS, when it makes sense. The idea that healers "should only keep the party alive" is as retarded as saying "tanks only should keep hate". The group advances when the mobs die, so everyone should help to kill the mobs.

    It wasn't until late in the Heavenward storyline that I feel SE put anything in the way of solo-content that stressed a player's skill. So there's so many players with no skill at all, and no reason to learn any. I can't stand carrying people - but there is no real reason built into the game for people to learn their classes.

    Slap a persistent Dark Arts effect for its duration, and double the HP healed from Souleater/Abyssal Drain. Any extra self-healing that should provide should make up for the extra HP.

    Tips for leveling?

    So with the new changes coming in next month as im planning on being a PLD tank, for those of us in our early 20's does this mean now we should be focusing on filling our points into Vit instead of Str or only focusing on gear that gives more Vit? For currently I split my attribute points between Str and Vit with every level up.

    This is something I've been wanting for a long while so glad square-enix is finally coming around to this. Also my husband who plays a tank is glad they are doing this to since like me he was waiting for this to. So goodbye str tanks and welcome they way it should have always been vit tanks.

    There is nothing wrong with using the points and accessories 50/50 right now.

    When the change happens you can buy an item at your Grand Company for few seals to change your attribute points and then switch the gear depending on the changes.

    Once you get to 50, you'll be able to change your additional attributes with an item you can buy from your Grand Company. In terms of gearing, maximizing Defense and Magic Defense will give you better mitigation (regardless of Vit/Str), but for the bonus stats, you're safe putting them in either. It also helps that the 35 points you'll have at 60 are only a drop in the bucket compared to what you'll get on gear, roughly equal to a single stat allocation on a single piece of gear.
