Fending has parry where slaying has critical.

Slaying > Fending if the stat weight of STR and VIT will be the same.

There is more then 1, 210 accessory of each type in the game, there you go an earring with no parry. There exists fending accessories with no parry for every slot. It has never been good for any job to say well I am going to use all the raid accessories, when the tome ones can have better stats.
