    Definitely, I feel the same way. I really enjoy Paladin myself, which is why I'm still maining it. There's just this persistent definition of PLD as "the defensive tank" when generally speaking the other two tanks have just as many mitigation tools at their disposal.

    There was nothing ever wrong with full str tanks. The problem was some tanks using them while undergeared for something and not knowing what a defensive cooldown was. However if a tank in full str gear knows what their doing and die 99% of the time it was the healers fault >.<.

    I must be too negative on this, but am I really the only one reading this ?
    we will make tank busters anihilate any STR tank so put on your VIT accessories or get rekt guys

    Because the whole point of STR tanks now is that there is nothing preventing us to do so. And if VIT's influence on damage is weaker than STR's influence, it will be pointless to have VIT accessories anyway because nothing hitting hard enough and less damage done.


    No seriously, it reeks of tank busters not survivable without a full HP build

    Even the good STR tanks still have less HP than VIT tanks, which means more spikey health bar. A vitality tank can take 5k more damage before I have to heal them (for 5k more), which means the intervals in and out of CS are longer and/or more flexible. Less sweating to optimize dot uptime, also less overhealing in case cures crit because I don't need to fill the tank's HP bar to full to have time to dps. In essence, the "I only heal and my job is just to keep the tank alive" healers will not experience any changes in how they play because they are 100% focused on the tank anyway, but healers who like to dps will be able to find more windows of opportunity for it. This does indeed make me happy!

    TLDR; The minimum healing requirement won't change but maximizing your potential as healer will be easier.

    Oh I agree I don't have a problem with the change was just stating my opinion on str tanks.

    But dear god has it got to be boring after this patch to be a " Im a healer I don't dps" Healer.

    Tanks will all be wearing vit gear meaning you will stand there for even longer now twiddling your thumbs contributing nothing >.<

    You got it all wrong, str dmg for tanks will be reduced while vit will give a better dmg boost. It will now be pointless to wear str accessories.

    No I did not get it wrong.

    Let's say current STR is valued at 1. STR and VIT level at 1000 for simplicity's sake

    Even if they reduce STR to 0.7 and bring up VIT to 0.03 to compensate (exact same damage output), the result will be the same. VIT will be worthless as soon as you reach the damage cap.

    And as the only place we can choose between the 2 is accessories (and stats bonus), well, the choice is easy to make. Take whatever has the highest damage bonus attached and meld the other one in your safe spot if you really want it.

    In short, STR tanks won't disappear unless at least one of those 2 are true :

    • Tank busters anihilates any tank not rolling full VIT
    • VIT has a better damage ratio than STR

    why ppl are surprised about this , we all knew that was coming , VIT jewelry was useless , tanks were "forced" to craft to min-max , and had to pray to twelve in order to get some gear in 4 mans , and 2nd in line after drg / monk in raids for right side gear ....

    Now the question is how vit is going to affect dmg the ratio im sure will be way less than STR....so tanks nerf in dmg across the board , i guess pld are getting awesome buffs else pld will be healing the mobs hehehe
